In this role, you will serve as the main technical advisor, assisting organizations in navigating the API lifecycle and integrating our platform into their overall development strategies. What you'll do

• Engage in technical discovery sessions to pinpoint customer challenges and articulate how Postman can enhance their operational workflows.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key technical stakeholders to offer insights on best practices throughout the API lifecycle.
• Establish clear success metrics and deliver customized proofs of concept, workshops, and product demonstrations tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure a unified approach to account management and strategy execution.
• Stay abreast of trends in the API industry and relay customer insights to internal Engineering and Product teams to influence the product roadmap.
• Act as a representative for Postman at webinars, conferences, and industry events, while also creating technical content such as tutorials and blog posts to share knowledge.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to customers post-implementation to ensure they are leveraging Postman effectively.
• Analyze customer feedback and usage patterns to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new features.
• Assist in training and onboarding new customers to ensure a smooth transition to our platform.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align on customer needs and product capabilities.
• Develop and maintain documentation that outlines best practices and solutions for common customer challenges.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, demonstrating a solid technical foundation.
• At least 2 years of experience in pre-sales engineering or technical consulting, showcasing your ability to engage with clients effectively.
• Strong proficiency in REST and GraphQL APIs, enabling you to guide customers through integration processes.
• Familiarity with API lifecycle management tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI, Kong, Apigee, or Postman itself.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes, automation techniques, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Excellent communication skills in English, particularly for delivering presentations and engaging with customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% within the EMEA region, with occasional global travel for company events and conferences.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the tech industry.
• Knowledge of security practices related to APIs and data protection.
