About the role
Postman is seeking a Corporate Solutions Engineer for the Nordics region to act as a technical and strategic partner within our corporate sales organization. In this role, you will own the technical discovery and qualification of enterprise prospects, ensuring their needs align with Postman's API-first platform. You will serve as the primary technical resource for customers, guiding them through complex proof of value workshops and demonstrating how Postman can optimize their API lifecycle. The position requires deep collaboration with sales, customer success, and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into compelling value propositions. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of expertise in Postman's platform to address technical objections and propose effective solutions. This role demands ownership of customer workflows, advocating for their feedback to influence product direction and adoption. You will analyze competitive landscapes and current API market trends to support strategic account planning. Ultimately, you will drive adoption by creating reusable collateral and enabling customers to build better APIs faster with confidence.

What you'll do
- Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to uncover the specific API lifecycle challenges of prospective corporate clients.
- Perform technical demonstrations and facilitate proof of concept workshops that highlight the core value of Postman's platform.
- Act as a subject matter expert to resolve complex technical questions and objections regarding Postman features and integrations.
- Author and maintain reusable sales collateral, including technical guides and workflow documentation, to support adoption.
- Analyze and document existing customer workflows to identify opportunities for API-first transformation using Postman tools.
- Serve as the central point for customer feedback, synthesizing insights and advocating for their needs across product and engineering teams.
- Monitor the competitive API management landscape and emerging industry trends to refine sales strategies and positioning.
- Design and build proof of concept integrations and tooling that address unique customer requirements and validate hypotheses.
- Develop and manage customer sandbox environments, establishing best practices for efficient product usage.
- Function as a technical liaison between sales leadership and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with customer objectives.
- Leverage established sales methodologies such as MEDDIC and Challenger Sale to guide complex enterprise opportunities.
- Evaluate current DevOps and API integration patterns to advise on modern development practices.
- Collaborate with customer success managers to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term retention of enterprise accounts.
- Assess the security and compliance considerations inherent in cloud-based API services during the sales cycle.
- Drive adoption metrics by coaching internal stakeholders on solution positioning and value articulation.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or have equivalent relevant work experience.
- Demonstrate over 4 years of professional experience in corporate sales or solutions engineering roles.
- Bring a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with software development and API technologies.
- Show advanced familiarity with API platforms and data services, including design and consumption patterns.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of modern development methodologies, including DevOps principles and the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain comfort with the SaaS sales process and common security and compliance concerns associated with cloud services.
- Apply experience with sales execution frameworks such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, or Command of the Message.
- Display excellent listening skills to understand customer objectives rather than imposing predetermined solutions.
- Remain up-to-date with typical developer tooling, including IDEs, Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring services.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where teamwork is essential to achieving shared goals.
- Engage effectively with all levels of technical stakeholders, from individual developers to engineering directors.
- Travel up to 25% of the time to support client meetings and workshops across the Nordics region.
- Have a strong passion for APIs and the role they play in driving digital transformation.
