What you'll do

• Design and implement a diverse range of events, including workshops, networking sessions, and pitch competitions, tailored to the needs of startups and corporate partners.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of event objectives with organizational goals and strategies.
• Manage the logistics of events from inception to execution, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual needs, and participant registration.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including speakers, sponsors, and community partners, to enhance event quality and reach.
• Create promotional materials and manage marketing campaigns to drive attendance and engagement for events.
• Oversee event budgets, ensuring all expenditures are tracked and reported accurately, while identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Gather and analyze feedback from participants post-event to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event management to continually enhance the quality and effectiveness of our programs.
• Facilitate communication between various teams to ensure seamless collaboration and execution of events.
• Lead a team of volunteers or interns during events, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth operation.
• Represent Plug and Play Tech Center at external events and conferences to promote our brand and network with potential partners.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on event outcomes and metrics for senior management review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning or program management, preferably within the tech or startup ecosystem.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple events simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in using event management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills to assess event performance and derive actionable insights.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management related to event planning.
• A passion for technology and innovation, with a keen interest in the startup landscape.

• Experience working with startups or within an incubator/accelerator environment.
• Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and social media platforms to promote events effectively.
