About the role
Bamboohr is seeking an SMB Program Associate to support the growth and management of its small and medium business initiatives. This role is based in Sunnyvale, California and is a full-time position within the company's startup accelerator and innovation platform. The associate will work closely with program teams to coordinate activities, manage relationships, and help drive the success of SMB-focused programs. This position serves as a key operational link between the company's SMB division and its broader ecosystem of startups and corporate partners. The associate will gain hands-on experience in program management, partner relations, and the startup acceleration process while contributing directly to the expansion of Plug and Play's SMB offerings.

What you'll do
- Coordinate day-to-day operations for SMB-focused programs and initiatives across the organization and its partner network
- Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and networking sessions for small business participants
- Maintain and update program databases, tracking participant information, milestones, engagement metrics, and program milestones over time
- Assist in onboarding new SMB partners and ensuring a smooth integration into the Plug and Play ecosystem
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop program materials, presentations, outreach content, and communication assets for participants
- Monitor program performance and prepare regular reports summarizing key outcomes, trends, and areas for improvement
- Serve as a point of contact for SMB participants, addressing inquiries, resolving operational issues, and providing guidance
- Help manage the scheduling and logistics for program meetings, including room bookings, virtual session setup, and materials preparation
- Support the SMB team lead in setting quarterly goals, tracking progress, and adjusting program strategies as needed
- Contribute to the development of best practices and process improvements within the SMB program team on an ongoing basis
- Facilitate communication between SMB participants and internal teams to ensure alignment on program expectations and deliverables
- Participate in program retrospectives and feedback sessions to identify lessons learned and opportunities for future program enhancement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in business, management, entrepreneurship, or a related field of study
- 1 to 3 years of experience in program coordination, operations, project management, or a similar administrative role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet established deadlines consistently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis
- Proficiency with standard office productivity tools and team collaboration platforms for daily work and document management
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities
- Comfort with data tracking, basic reporting, and maintaining organized records for program evaluation and compliance purposes
- Demonstrated interest in startup ecosystems, small business development, technology innovation, or community-building within a professional context
Nice to have
- Prior experience working with small and medium-sized businesses or startup accelerators in a professional setting
- Familiarity with customer relationship management software and data tracking tools for managing partner relationships effectively
- Background in event planning or community building within a technology-focused organization or startup ecosystem
- Knowledge of the Sunnyvale or Silicon Valley startup and innovation landscape is a strong plus
- Experience with grant writing, funding programs, or small business support initiatives would be valuable

- This is a full-time, in-person role located at the Plug and Play Tech Center office in Sunnyvale, California
- The SMB Program Associate reports to the SMB team lead and works within a collaborative, fast-moving team environment
