About the role
This position is responsible for generating meaningful growth for Planet Technologies' Power Platform practice within the Eastern US remote region. The hire will own the full spectrum of new-business development activities, focusing on identifying and converting high-value opportunities. A core part of this role involves nurturing and leveraging Microsoft co-sell partnerships to expand reach and credibility. The successful candidate will translate complex low-code application capabilities into clear business outcomes for prospective clients. They will be accountable for building a robust pipeline and driving bookings that exceed established targets. Success in this position is directly measured by the quality and quantity of pipeline generated and the conversion of customer application backlogs into realized value. The hire will act as a primary growth driver, ensuring the Power Platform offering gains strong footholds in strategic accounts.

What you'll do
Source and qualify new enterprise opportunities within the Eastern US territory using data-driven strategies and market intelligence.
Develop and execute consultative discovery sessions to uncover critical business problems and map them to Power Platform outcomes.
Articulate the technical benefits of low-code development to non-technical stakeholders, translating jargon into clear business value.
Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers across IT and business units at target accounts.
Collaborate closely with Microsoft partners to identify co-sell opportunities and assemble joint value propositions for complex deals.
Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial outreach through contract negotiation and ensuring smooth deal closure.
Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and live demonstrations that showcase the Power Platform's capabilities in real-world scenarios.
Analyze competitive landscapes and position Planet Technologies' solutions to highlight unique differentiators and strategic advantages.
Develop multi-threaded relationship maps within key accounts to uncover hidden needs and drive incremental expansion revenue.
Utilize CRM tools diligently to maintain accurate forecasting, track interactions, and ensure predictable pipeline management.
Proactively identify expansion opportunities within existing customer bases to maximize lifetime value and account penetration.
Leverage industry-specific knowledge to tailor messaging and solutions for sectors such as healthcare, public sector, and manufacturing.
Engage in continuous learning of Microsoft product updates and sales methodologies to maintain a leading edge in the marketplace.
Demonstrate resilience and adaptability by managing a high volume of prospects and maintaining activity in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Prospective candidates must demonstrate proven success in technology sales with a documented track record of sourcing and closing new business.
A strong preference is given to individuals with direct experience selling Power Platform, Business Applications, Dynamics 365, or low-code/custom application development services.
Applicants must possess a working understanding of the broader Microsoft technology landscape and how the Power Platform integrates with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Dynamics 365.
The ability to translate technical low-code capabilities into tangible business value is essential for leading outcome-based conversations with business and IT leaders.
Successful professionals will build trust as a trusted advisor, developing new and existing relationships to deliver innovative professional services solutions that meet client objectives.
Candidates must actively develop partner and channel relationships to generate pipeline and accelerate the progression of complex sales cycles.
Prospecting activities must include both traditional methods and creative, "out of the box" approaches to break through market noise and engage prospects.
Ideal candidates will have previous success as an Account Executive, Technical Seller, or similar role within a Microsoft-focused or technology services organization.
A background in State and Local Government, Healthcare, Education, or the Manufacturing/Defense Industrial Base is considered a significant advantage.
Written, verbal, and presentation skills must be excellent, with sound judgment to determine when to escalate issues and opportunities.
Collaboration as a team player with a customer-success mindset is mandatory, coupled with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client satisfaction.
Willingness to travel as needed to customer sites and industry events is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.
