- Review inspection records and preventative maintenance schedules to identify trends, extract insights, and develop strategies that minimize future disruptions.
- Collaborate closely with the Area Chief Engineer to align maintenance strategy with business objectives, ensuring resources and priorities remain in balance.
- Act as a central communication hub, coordinating with operators, investors, and maintenance staff to resolve issues efficiently and maintain alignment.
- Drive occupancy support initiatives by maintaining a building environment that feels seamless, reliable, and consistently high quality for every interaction.
- Lead emergency response efforts as needed, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve critical issues swiftly and safely.
- Document all maintenance activities, decisions, and outcomes to create a clear record that supports continuous improvement and operational transparency.
- Ensure all logistical aspects of turnover activities are managed with speed and accuracy, minimizing downtime between guest stays and resident move-ins.
- Uphold the financial and operational expectations of owners and partners by maintaining properties that reflect the value and standards of the Placemakr brand.
Requirements
The role requires a commitment to a rotational schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure the building remains fully operational at all times. You must bring three to five years of experience in maintenance or facility operations to demonstrate your capability in real-world environments. A deep understanding of building systems-such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and elevators-is mandatory for effective oversight and decision-making. You must have a proven ability to manage vendor contracts and supervise unit turnovers efficiently, ensuring standards are met and risks are minimized. A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and inspections is necessary to uphold building integrity and prevent minor issues from escalating. Strong organizational skills are required to balance multiple priorities, manage technician workloads, and maintain detailed records for compliance and reporting.
