About the role

We are on the lookout for a passionate Leasing Specialist to become a vital part of our on-site property team located in the vibrant downtown area of Pittsburgh. In this role, you will oversee the complete resident journey, acting as the main liaison for potential residents from their first property tour through to their move-in and lease renewal processes.

What you'll do
- Conduct engaging and informative property tours for prospective residents, addressing their inquiries about the building's features and amenities.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of prospects, which includes following up on leads, managing objections, and successfully closing new lease agreements.
- Handle various administrative responsibilities, such as maintaining accurate move-in documentation and ensuring adherence to property regulations and standards.
- Foster resident retention through proactive engagement strategies, service initiatives, and effective lease renewal negotiations.
- Communicate professionally with potential residents through emails and marketing outreach, ensuring a consistent and appealing message.
- Work collaboratively with the property team to uphold a safe, secure, and inviting environment for all residents and visitors.
- Strive to meet or surpass established performance targets related to new leases and lease renewals.
- Utilize CRM tools to track interactions and maintain records of prospective and current residents.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss strategies for improving leasing processes and enhancing resident satisfaction.
- Assist in organizing community events to promote resident engagement and build a sense of community within the property.
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings to effectively position our leasing strategy.
- Provide feedback to management regarding resident needs and potential improvements to property offerings.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in leasing, sales, or business development is required.
- Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing sales-related performance metrics.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to present options clearly and close deals effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, maintaining a professional tone and proper grammar in all interactions.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Physical capability to stand or walk for extended durations and lift or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in managing leasing for Class-A residential properties.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing (FFH) regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience using CRM software or property management systems for administrative tasks.

- Strong organizational skills for maintaining administrative records.
- Competent in customer relationship management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on professionalism.
Practical notes
The compensation package includes a monthly bonus potential of up to $500, stock options, and a 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match. You will start with 15 days of paid time off (PTO), which increases to 20 days after 2.5 years of service.
