Key facts
What you'll do
Conduct nightly audits of all property areas to ensure compliance with Placemakr standards and identify any necessary corrective actions.
Greet every guest upon arrival, verify check-in details, and confirm reservations or bookings with precision and warmth.
Respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and concerns during overnight hours, providing solutions that exceed expectations.
Monitor building systems and security protocols, reporting any irregularities to the appropriate teams immediately.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of common areas, ensuring spaces are ready for morning occupancy.
Coordinate with the on-site property team to handle any maintenance issues that arise during the night shift.
Document all guest interactions and service activities accurately in the internal systems before the end of the shift.
Support the execution of special events or move-ins that may occur during overnight hours, ensuring a seamless experience.
Perform regular safety checks of emergency exits, lighting, and equipment to uphold the highest standards of guest security.
Communicate effectively with neighboring teams to ensure alignment on occupancy changes, service requests, and operational updates.
Uphold Placemakr's Community Norms in every interaction, demonstrating respect, transparency, and accountability.
Assist with inventory checks of essential supplies, ensuring that guest rooms and amenities are fully stocked at all times.
Provide overnight support to residents, addressing any needs that arise to keep them comfortable and satisfied.
Serve as a visible representative of the Property Team Mission, reinforcing the importance of hospitality in every task.
Ensure all overnight activities align with company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
You must be at least 21 years of age to be eligible for this role.
You must have the legal right to work in the United States and provide documentation at hire.
You must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the Arlington, VA location or be able to relocate within the coverage area.
You must be able to consistently work overnight shifts between 10pm and 8am, including weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.
You must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record, as this role may require vehicle use for approved business purposes.
You must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
You must demonstrate the ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
You must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have
Previous experience in hospitality, property management, or a guest-facing role is preferred.
Familiarity with property management software or booking platforms is a plus.
Experience working overnight shifts in a professional environment is highly valued.
Strong knowledge of the Arlington, VA area and surrounding neighborhoods is beneficial.
Ability to speak multiple languages is an advantage for serving a diverse guest base.
Practical notes
This role requires a rotational overnight schedule between 10pm and 8am during the week, weekends, and holidays.
The position is full-time and classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Employees may be required to work from alternate Placemakr properties within the coverage area as business needs dictate.
Relocation assistance may be considered for qualified candidates who need to move within the coverage area.
Travel is not required for this role, as it is based entirely at the assigned property location.
This role does not require international travel or sponsorship at this time.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
New hires are subject to a 90-day probationary period, with performance reviews conducted at 30, 60, and 90 days.
Promotion eligibility and pay increases of at least $2 per hour may be considered as early as 9 months into the role, based on position requirements and performance.
