About the role
In this position, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing Pinterest's executive compensation strategies. Your collaboration with senior leadership and various cross-functional teams will be essential in managing equity programs and ensuring they align with the company's overarching business objectives. This role demands a combination of strategic insight and practical execution to navigate market trends and maintain compliance with industry standards.

What you'll do
- Participate in the development, refinement, and improvement of executive compensation plans that facilitate company growth while ensuring an exceptional experience for executives.
- Provide expert knowledge regarding executive compensation structures, design principles, policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Manage the annual review cycles for compensation, as well as oversee processes related to the compensation of new executive hires and those departing the company.
- Organize and maintain the schedule and agenda for quarterly meetings of the Talent Development & Compensation Committee.
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of Compensation and the VP of Total Rewards to prepare and curate materials for Board committee meetings.
- Work alongside Legal and Accounting departments to draft the Compensation Discussion & Analysis and prepare compensation tables for the proxy statement.
- Monitor and analyze changes in executive compensation regulations, disclosure practices, and trends in shareholder voting.
- Conduct market research to ensure that Pinterest's compensation packages remain competitive and attractive to top talent.
- Assist in the development of communication strategies to effectively convey compensation-related information to executives and stakeholders.
- Support the integration of equity compensation into overall executive compensation strategies.
- Engage in ad-hoc projects related to compensation analysis and reporting as needed.
- Foster a culture of transparency and trust in compensation practices across the organization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in global compensation within a publicly traded organization.
- A minimum of 2 years managing executive and equity compensation programs, including preparing materials for board-level discussions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, effective at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to collaborate successfully with various departments, including HR, Finance, Accounting, and Legal.
- Capacity to quickly build relationships, establish trust, and partner effectively with leadership across the company.
- Strong self-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive problem-solver with a commitment to excellence and a forward-thinking mindset.
- A team player with a positive attitude who takes initiative in their work.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, particularly Workday, is preferred.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Experience in compensation analytics or data analysis.
- Familiarity with industry benchmarking tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of international compensation practices and regulations.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Workday (preferred) and other HRIS platforms.
- Strong analytical skills for compensation analysis and reporting.
- Excellent project management capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and presentation software.

- This position does not offer relocation assistance.
- Only candidates based in the US will be considered.
- The salary range for this role is between $120,321 and $247,718 USD.
- The position also includes eligibility for equity compensation.
- The final salary will be determined based on various factors, including location, travel requirements, relevant experience, and specific skills.
