About the role
Pinterest is seeking an Email & Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to own the full strategic and operational lifecycle of business-to-business email and push initiatives. This role is responsible for transforming high-level business objectives into structured, multi-touch email and push journeys that drive measurable engagement and conversion. The position requires close collaboration with Creative, Sales, Product, Marketing, and IT teams to ensure alignment across all touchpoints. You will leverage artificial intelligence tools to amplify productivity and campaign performance while adhering to strict quality, brand, and compliance standards. The role offers the flexibility to work from San Francisco, California, or remotely within the United States, providing a hybrid model that supports both focus and collaboration. The annual compensation for this position is $143,200, reflecting the strategic impact and responsibility of the role.
What you'll do
- Design intake procedures for campaign briefs, audience requirements, and regulatory compliance checks to establish a solid foundation for every initiative.
- Architect end-to-end customer journeys, mapping out sophisticated email and push sequences that align with business goals and user expectations.
- Assemble copy, creative assets, and metadata while conducting rigorous QA checks prior to launch to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and technical integrity.
- Analyze test results across multiple variables such as audience segments, message timing, creative variations, and channel performance to identify high-impact opportunities.
- Refine future campaigns based on data-driven insights, implementing iterative improvements that maximize efficiency, engagement, and return on investment.
- Maintain Salesforce Account Engagement with precision, ensuring all interactions, triggers, and automations are accurately recorded and optimized.
- Troubleshoot system errors within the marketing automation stack and apply best practices for email deliverability, list management, and inbox placement.
- Utilize AI to draft new email templates, generate copy variations, and codify testing rules that streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Identify automation opportunities within the customer journey to increase program scalability, reduce manual touchpoints, and improve consistency.
- Uphold brand clarity, data privacy regulations, and list health for every message sent, ensuring all communication meets legal and ethical standards.
- Coordinate schedules with cross-functional partners to remove roadblocks, align timelines, and ensure the timely deployment of campaigns.
- Interpret funnel behavior and campaign performance data to propose actionable strategies that optimize long-term customer journeys.
- Partner with Creative teams to develop compelling email copy and design concepts that resonate with business audiences and support campaign objectives.
- Protect the integrity of the brand by managing clear user experiences and maintaining visual and tonal consistency across all messages.
- Engage in regular communication with diverse teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful execution of complex marketing programs.
Requirements
- Possess three to five years of specific experience in email or CRM marketing, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex campaigns from strategy to execution.
- Bring a background in B2B environments, particularly supporting advertiser or sales-led audiences, with an understanding of their unique decision-making processes.
- Show a deep understanding of marketing automation platforms, with a preference for Salesforce Account Engagement proficiency and related tools.
- Demonstrate strong campaign execution abilities, handling setup, scheduling, quality assurance, and performance analysis with attention to detail.
- Exhibit experience with audience segmentation and personalization based on lifecycle stages, using data to tailor messaging and timing.
- Have a proven track record of running experiments, analyzing performance data, and converting findings into actionable strategies that improve results.
- Collaborate effectively with creative teams on email copy and design, balancing strategic goals with user-centric design principles.
- Protect brand consistency while managing clear user experiences, ensuring that every email and push message reflects Pinterest's identity and values.
- Communicate effectively across multiple functions, working successfully with diverse teams including Sales, Product, Creative, Marketing, and IT.
- Maintain a strict respect for compliance, data privacy, and on-brand messaging in all email and push campaigns, ensuring all sends meet company and regulatory standards.
