The in Australia owns the complete lifecycle of enterprise resource planning initiatives within the local market. This role requires ownership of discovery and scoping activities that define the foundational solution architecture for client engagements. The consultant translates ambiguous business challenges into precise solution designs through rigorous requirements validation and process analysis. They act as the technical and functional authority for the Business Central platform across finance, operations, and supply chain domains. This position demands leadership in configuring and building solutions that align with strict Australian business practices and regulatory expectations. The consultant is responsible for ensuring that end-users are confident and capable through the design and delivery of practical training programs. Finally, they own the post-go-live relationship, acting as the trusted advisor for support, enhancements, and strategic account expansion.

What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end Business Central implementations from discovery and scoping through configuration, testing, training, and go-live.
- Run requirements workshops and business process mapping sessions, translating client needs into solution design and defined project scope.
- Configure and build Business Central solutions across finance, operations, and supply chain functional areas.
- Design and deliver end-user training programs to enable client confidence and capability at go-live.
- Own post-go-live client relationships as the trusted go-to for support, expansion, and account development.
- Support pre-sales activities including product demos, solution walkthroughs, effort and scope estimation, and proposal contributions.
- Identify and develop follow-on opportunities within existing accounts, collaborating with the broader team to grow the practice.
- Drive the configuration of business processes in accordance with Australian operational standards and reporting requirements.
- Utilize the Power Platform to extend functionality and create dashboards that provide actionable business insights.
- Conduct detailed gap analyses to determine the need for customizations or integrations with third-party systems.
- Validate system configurations through comprehensive testing protocols, including user acceptance and performance testing.
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, and configuration details to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability.
- Mentor junior team members and stakeholders on best practices for system usage and configuration standards.
- Establish clear communication plans to manage stakeholder expectations throughout all phases of the implementation.
Requirements
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (MB-800).
- Possess multiple years of hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and or Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Demonstrate the proven ability to lead discovery and scoping sessions, eliciting requirements, mapping business processes, and producing a solution design.
- Show full-lifecycle delivery experience encompassing configuration, testing, end-user training, and go-live support.
- Exhibit confident, credible client-facing communication skills, including the ability to lead workshops and present to senior stakeholders.
- Display competence in training end users to ensure they can effectively utilize the system in their daily roles.
- Maintain a strict commitment to ethical standards and data security protocols required when handling sensitive enterprise data.
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment while also taking individual ownership of complex functional challenges.
- Apply analytical thinking to resolve complex business problems and translate them into efficient system configurations.
- Adhere to project management methodologies and timelines to ensure delivery within scope and schedule.

- Bring pre-sales experience including demos, solution walkthroughs, scope and effort estimation, and proposal support to the table.
- Leverage account management experience to nurture client relationships, identify follow-on work, and act as a trusted advisor.
- Show exposure to Australian finance and tax requirements including GST and other local compliance regulations.
- Demonstrate familiarity with the Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate, to enhance solution capabilities.
- Hold additional Microsoft certifications such as MB-820 or MB-500, or possess an industry vertical specialisation that adds depth to the engagement.
- Apply previous experience in change management to facilitate user adoption and minimize resistance during transformation.
- Contribute insights on scalability and performance optimization for enterprise-level deployments.
