About the role
The serves as the central compensation and benefits strategist for the organization. This role owns the full lifecycle of total rewards programs, ensuring they support business objectives and reinforce the company culture. You will act as the primary advisor to executive leadership on all matters related to base pay, incentives, and long-term equity structures. The position requires deep collaboration with People Partners and Recruiters to align talent strategies with compensation frameworks. You will be responsible for translating market data into actionable plans that keep Pie competitive and fair. This role owns the integrity of the compensation philosophy and ensures all programs are executed consistently. You will drive critical analyses related to pay equity and market positioning. Ultimately, this position ensures that the reward strategies enable the company to attract and retain high-quality talent in a dynamic market.
Key facts
What you'll do
Partner with the Director of People Operations, SVP of People and Talent, CEO, and CFO to develop and execute compensation strategies that align with business goals.
Provide expert consultation and guidance to key stakeholders on compensation philosophy, program design, and internal equity matters.
Collaborate closely with People Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure compensation strategies support recruitment, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
Analyze internal and external compensation data to maintain competitive salary structures and equitable pay practices across the organization.
Audit compensation processes and outcomes to identify and resolve potential pay gaps or inconsistencies proactively.
Prepare and review job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect responsibilities, duties, and requirements relative to the job architecture.
Recommend and implement off-cycle salary adjustments and market adjustments to maintain competitiveness in evolving labor markets.
Manage the maintenance and accuracy of compensation data, job profiles, bonus targets, and equity records within HR systems.
Partner with external compensation consultants to evaluate executive compensation practices and ensure alignment with market standards.
Contribute to the strategy, planning, and execution of equity compensation programs for employees.
Own the end-to-end administration of the annual compensation and performance cycle program and related timelines.
Manage payroll contributions and match processes related to benefits and other programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
Oversee all benefits-related reporting to ensure accuracy, transparency, and adherence to organizational standards.
Verify and maintain the integrity of data across compensation and benefits systems to support reliable decision-making.
Ensure all compensation and benefits practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal company policies.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's Degree or possess equivalent experience with some college coursework relevant to the field.
Bring a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience in compensation and equity analysis within a professional services or technology environment.
Possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in benefits administration, including managing programs and systems.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of laws and regulations that govern base compensation, incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operational practices.
Maintain current certifications such as SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and certified compensation professional credentials.
Exhibit advanced written, verbal, and presentation communication skills to deliver complex information effectively and align stakeholders with project needs.
Apply advanced problem-solving skills to manage complex situations with multiple layers and resolve issues to practical solutions.
Show strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.

Have experience managing cross-functional projects that require collaboration with finance, legal, and operations teams.
