About the role
This position focuses on managing and expanding a substantial portfolio of partner accounts, totaling approximately 850 accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive business development efforts, independently addressing client needs, and achieving specific performance targets. The role requires representing Pie Insurance professionally in all interactions with partners and making strategic decisions to improve client relationships, increase premium submissions, and support overall company growth. The role involves working closely with external agency partners, internal teams, and various stakeholders to drive profitable premium growth and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. The candidate will play a key part in developing strategic initiatives, analyzing industry trends, and implementing best practices to benefit both partners and Pie Insurance.

What you'll do
- Build and nurture relationships with external agency partners to increase submissions, binds, and bound premium, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate effectively with partner CSRs, producers, and principals to influence production outcomes and support mutual growth objectives.
- Represent Pie Insurance at partner meetings, seminars, trade shows, and networking events, coordinating with internal teams to maximize opportunities and strengthen relationships.
- Develop and manage relationships with retail partners to drive profitable premium growth, ensuring alignment with strategic business plans.
- Conduct regular meetings with agency staff at various levels, including producers and CSRs, to review performance, address concerns, and identify new opportunities.
- Utilize reporting tools and analytics platforms to identify trends across states and partners, developing targeted strategies for large groups of partners to optimize results.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as sales, underwriting, and operations to develop and implement best practices, process improvements, and strategic initiatives that benefit partners and internal teams.
- Monitor industry insights, market trends, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies and business decisions, translating insights into actionable plans that benefit partners and enhance company profitability.
- Track and report on progress related to initiatives supporting departmental and company OKRs, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Create and execute strategic plans aimed at achieving profitable premium growth and retention for both new and existing partnerships, adjusting tactics based on performance data.
- Use data, feedback, and industry insights to refine and improve strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives and partner needs.
- Assist in forecasting distribution channel premium on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing accurate projections to support business planning and resource allocation.
- Maintain detailed records of partner interactions, performance metrics, and strategic plans to ensure transparency and facilitate ongoing relationship management.
- Support onboarding of new partners, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with company processes and expectations.
- Provide ongoing support and training to partners to maximize their understanding of Pie Insurance products and processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing and outreach strategies that enhance partner engagement and drive business growth.
- Stay informed about industry changes, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape to advise partners and internal teams effectively.
- Assist in resolving complex client issues independently, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Contribute to the development of sales and account management tools, resources, and documentation to improve team efficiency.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in business development, client relationship management, or account management, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing goals, priorities, workflows, and responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and thoughtfully.
