This full-time position plays a crucial role in overseeing pipeline construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. What you'll do

• Lead and manage pipeline construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Coordinate daily operations on-site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workforce management, to optimize productivity.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans and ensure alignment with overall objectives.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality standards, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
• Oversee the procurement and management of materials and equipment necessary for pipeline construction, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and compliance records, for internal and external review.
• Mentor and train junior staff and crew members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and local authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that their work meets the required standards and is completed on schedule.
• Analyze project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates to senior management regarding project status, challenges, and milestones achieved.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline construction or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites as required.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices in pipeline construction.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.

Nice to have

• Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent) or relevant industry certifications.
• Experience with advanced pipeline technologies and construction techniques.
• Knowledge of Lean construction principles and practices.
• Previous experience working in remote or challenging environments.
• Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.

Skills & tools

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in using project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and other relevant tools.
• Solid understanding of safety management systems and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and standards in pipeline construction.
