About the role
Bamboohr is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pipe Superintendent to join our team in Woodland, Washington. This full-time position plays a crucial role in overseeing pipeline construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipeline operations and management, coupled with excellent leadership skills to guide a diverse team of professionals.

What you'll do
- Lead and manage pipeline construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Coordinate daily operations on-site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workforce management, to optimize productivity.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans and ensure alignment with overall objectives.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality standards, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Oversee the procurement and management of materials and equipment necessary for pipeline construction, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and compliance records, for internal and external review.
- Mentor and train junior staff and crew members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and local authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that their work meets the required standards and is completed on schedule.
- Analyze project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates to senior management regarding project status, challenges, and milestones achieved.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline construction or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites as required.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices in pipeline construction.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Nice to have
- Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent) or relevant industry certifications.
- Experience with advanced pipeline technologies and construction techniques.
- Knowledge of Lean construction principles and practices.
- Previous experience working in remote or challenging environments.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.

- Proficient in using project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and other relevant tools.
