What you'll do

• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner to minimize production interruptions.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment specifications and requirements.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to complete installations and repairs safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
• Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Work closely with production teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to operations.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in millwright practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar role, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with various types of machinery, including conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations and practices.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in millwrighting or related fields is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with CNC machinery and automated systems.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Certification in safety training programs, such as OSHA.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and their components.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software and inventory systems.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Competence in basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
