About the role
Perplexity is seeking a dedicated Product Marketing Manager focused on Partnerships to build and lead the partner marketing function from the ground up. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for key partners, ensuring that joint initiatives are executed smoothly and align with the company's strategic objectives. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with partners, managing joint campaigns, and coordinating cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of partnerships. This is a highly visible role that offers the opportunity to shape how Perplexity collaborates with its most important partners, making a significant contribution to the company's growth and market presence. You will work closely with teams across communications, product marketing, sales, and product development to ensure that Perplexity and its partners present a unified and compelling presence to the market. The role involves a mix of strategic planning, campaign management, and relationship building, requiring a proactive and autonomous approach to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What you'll do
- Own the entire partner marketing function, from developing joint strategies to executing campaigns and analyzing results, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with key partners to create annual joint marketing plans that include pipeline and revenue targets, and facilitate quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to track progress and maintain accountability on both sides.
- Drive the execution of joint marketing initiatives, ensuring that ideas move from concept to implementation, and that commitments are fulfilled on schedule.
- Develop and maintain the joint value proposition and narrative, crafting compelling "better together" stories that resonate with target buyers and are aligned across both organizations.
- Lead the planning and execution of full-funnel co-marketing campaigns, including webinars, industry events, account-based marketing (ABM), content syndication, email marketing, and digital advertising.
- Build partner enablement assets such as co-branded content, solution briefs, pitch decks, joint case studies, and campaign-in-a-box kits, enabling partner teams to sell and market effectively at scale.
- Coordinate joint launch moments and announcements, amplifying Perplexity's product launches and major industry milestones through the partner ecosystem to maximize visibility and impact.
- Implement measurement and attribution processes to track partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline within CRM systems, providing regular reports on ecosystem impact to senior leadership.
- Ensure alignment with sales and Customer Success teams by making sure they are aware of, trust, and activate partner programs, fostering collaboration and activation.
- Act as the connective tissue between Partnerships and other internal teams such as Business Development, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales, and Communications, serving as the primary marketing counterpart to partner marketing teams.
- Maintain and nurture strong relationships within partner organizations and across Perplexity's internal teams, ensuring ongoing collaboration and mutual trust.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on partner, alliance, or ecosystem marketing.
- Proven track record of managing joint go-to-market initiatives with technology vendors, ISVs, cloud providers, or system integrators, with tangible results in pipeline generation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans, hold organizations accountable, and drive follow-through on commitments.
- Strong storytelling skills capable of crafting clear, differentiated, and credible joint narratives that resonate with buyers and executives on both sides.
- Hands-on experience executing full-funnel campaigns, including webinars, events, ABM, content marketing, and digital channels, with a preference for those comfortable managing campaigns directly.
- Analytical proficiency in setting up attribution models and tracking partner-influenced pipeline within CRM systems, with experience in revenue operations tools.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, able to establish trust and influence within partner organizations and internal teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently, thrive in ambiguity, and build processes and playbooks in a high-growth environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
