Partner Marketing Manager
Job description
About the role
Perplexity is seeking a Partner Marketing Manager to build and lead the partner marketing function from inception. This position centers on cultivating and managing strategic relationships with major global enterprises to drive mutual growth. The successful candidate will own the full lifecycle of joint marketing initiatives, blending high-level strategic planning with hands-on tactical execution. You will act as the primary architect for co-marketing programs, ensuring that alliance commitments translate into measurable pipeline and revenue. This role offers significant executive visibility and the autonomy to define processes within a rapidly scaling environment.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect the comprehensive partner marketing strategy from the ground up, spanning initial program design, partner segmentation, and ongoing performance analytics.
- Construct and govern annual joint business plans with strategic accounts, establishing clear pipeline targets and facilitating rigorous quarterly business reviews to track progress.
- Orchestrate the end-to-end execution of co-marketing campaigns, ensuring strategic agreements convert into activated, market-facing programs rather than remaining theoretical frameworks.
- Formulate and refine the joint value proposition and core messaging frameworks, enabling both sales teams and partner organizations to articulate a unified, compelling narrative to buyers.
- Execute full-funnel co-marketing motions including virtual and physical events, webinar series, account-based marketing (ABM) plays, and digital content syndication across partner channels.
- Develop and maintain a library of sales enablement assets such as customer success case studies, co-branded pitch decks, battle cards, and campaign-in-a-box toolkits for partner sellers.
- Synchronize marketing activities with product launch calendars and major industry announcements to amplify ecosystem visibility and drive adoption of new capabilities.
- Implement and manage attribution models within the CRM to accurately track, report, and forecast partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline contribution.
- Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to align on partner activation strategies, ensuring internal stakeholders are equipped to support joint engagements.
- Function as the primary liaison between Perplexity's internal marketing, product, and leadership teams and the marketing counterparts at partner organizations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in B2B marketing with a dedicated focus on alliance, channel, ecosystem, or partner marketing functions.
- Proven track record of managing complex go-to-market motions with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), hyperscale cloud providers, or Global System Integrators (GSIs) that delivered quantifiable pipeline results.
- Demonstrated ability to hold cross-functional internal teams and external partner stakeholders accountable to agreed-upon plans, timelines, and revenue commitments.
- Exceptional narrative development capabilities, with a portfolio of creating differentiated, executive-ready positioning and messaging frameworks for joint solutions.
- Hands-on expertise managing the full campaign lifecycle across digital demand generation, content marketing, and event/field marketing disciplines.
- Strong analytical acumen regarding marketing attribution modeling, funnel metrics, and data hygiene within CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and revenue operations stacks.
- High agency and comfort operating in ambiguity, with a history of building scalable processes, playbooks, and reporting infrastructure in early-stage or high-growth environments.
Nice to have
- Direct experience marketing AI-native products, large language model (LLM) applications, or developer-facing platforms.
- Established network of contacts within the partner marketing organizations of major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or leading data infrastructure companies.
- Background in Product Marketing Management (PMM) or Solutions Marketing, providing deep technical fluency for technical buyer personas.
- Experience managing Market Development Funds (MDF) budgets, co-op advertising programs, and partner tiering frameworks.
- Familiarity with Partner Relationship Management (PRM) platforms such as Impartner, Allbound, or Channeltivity.
- History of speaking at industry conferences or leading partner advisory councils.
