About the role
Join our manufacturing team in Linden to restore fitness equipment, electronics, and accessories to high quality standards. You will play a vital role in our supply chain by managing the repair process to ensure cost-effective, high-quality product output. In this position, you take ownership of the complete refurbishment workflow from intake to final quality validation. You are responsible for diagnosing issues, applying precise corrective actions, and documenting each step to maintain process integrity. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and the reliability of the products that reach our members. You will be a key contributor to operational excellence by adhering to strict standards and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires diligence, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety in every task you perform. You will partner with cross-functional teams to resolve defects and improve the overall efficiency of the refurbishment lifecycle.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Execute daily mechanical repairs, calibration, torque adjustments, labeling, and packaging tasks with precision and consistency.
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering departments to refine repair processes and implement solutions that reduce rework.
- Inspect incoming units, identify defects, and determine the appropriate repair path while adhering to established protocols.
- Meet established performance targets regarding refurbishment quality, throughput, and operational costs to support team goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while performing manual labor in compliance with safety regulations.
- Work both independently and alongside team members to manage shifting priorities and ensure workflow continuity.
- Utilize hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, and meters to perform accurate diagnostics and adjustments on each unit.
- Record repair activities, observations, and outcomes using digital systems to support traceability and reporting requirements.
- Support quality assurance checks by verifying that all refurbished items meet the high standards set by Peloton before shipment.
- Contribute feedback to cross-functional teams regarding recurring issues, process improvements, and opportunities for innovation.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on tools and equipment to ensure they remain in optimal working condition.
- Assist in training new team members on procedures, safety practices, and quality expectations as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies, including data privacy, ethical conduct, and environmental responsibility during operations.
- Promote a culture of safety by following all guidelines and encouraging best practices among peers on the manufacturing floor.
Requirements
- Proficiency with hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, and meters is essential for performing accurate repairs and diagnostics.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting items weighing 145 lbs or more as part of the job.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and Google Docs, are required for communication and documentation.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, action-oriented work ethic to collaborate effectively with team members and departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Willingness to follow all safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment at all times.
- Must be able to perform assigned duties independently and within a team setting with minimal supervision.
- Reliability and punctuality are required to meet production schedules and maintain operational efficiency.
