About the role
You will own the end to end distribution and sales execution for your assigned rural cluster in the state of Karnataka. This role requires you to build and lead a high performance field team while directly managing relationships with key merchants and partners in the assigned geography. You will be responsible for driving market share growth by ensuring deep visibility and accountability in the sale of financial products. The position demands a coaching mindset where you constantly mentor your team on best practices and new concepts. You will translate complex business plans into simple execution roadmaps for your team on the ground. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to minimize the expectations versus delivery gap for sales targets. You will also validate and conduct audits on all acquisitions and sales completed by your team to ensure compliance. Ultimately, you will ensure that team members are consistently present and active in the market where sales and usage are happening.
Key facts
What you'll do
Execute daily sales plans and oversee the distribution strategy for the assigned rural market to maximize coverage.
Identify and recruit field sales staff (FSE) to align with business objectives and drive revenue in the target market.
Conduct regular coaching and mentoring sessions with team members to improve their sales techniques and product knowledge.
Plan the market size, span, and geographies for FSE to ensure optimal deployment of human resources.
Devise the best methods for communicating plans and targets to the team to reduce the gap between expectations and delivery.
Monitor quality parameters as suggested by management to maintain high standards of performance.
Validate and conduct audits on the acquisitions and sales completed by the team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ensure team members are present in the market on a regular basis where active sales and usage occur.
Develop strong networking capabilities and be willing to travel extensively throughout the specified rural area.
Sell cross-sell products to existing and new merchants, including Merchant Loan, Personal Loan, GOLD SIP, and other upgrades.
Build a deep understanding of lending products to effectively communicate value propositions to merchants and team members.
Train and groom the manpower allocated to you to build a resilient and performance-focused team.
Collaborate with peer teams to provide 360-degree feedback and support broader business goals through technology.
Contribute to improving the average revenue per user by increasing cross-sell opportunities and merchant retention.
Requirements
Graduate or above / Post Graduation preferred.
Must be willing to travel extensively across rural areas of the assigned region in Karnataka.
Should have good networking capabilities to build relationships with merchants and team members.
Must be a quick learner who grasps new ideas and concepts and applies them effectively in the field.
Should be skilled in coaching and mentoring to guide the sales team toward targets.
Able to devise and communicate plans for market size, span, and geographies for field staff.
Must have the ability to minimize the expectations versus delivery gap through clear communication.
Should have a good understanding of lending products to educate and train the team.
Must be able to validate and conduct audits on acquisitions and sales to ensure quality and compliance.
Required to ensure team members are consistently active in the market for sales and usage.
Must demonstrate respect through actions and collaboration rather than demanding it from peers and managers.
Should be output-driven and collaborative to bring cohesiveness across businesses through technology.
Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced rural sales environment.

Nice to have
Experience in managing rural or semi-urban sales teams in financial services.
Prior exposure to QR payments or digital transaction ecosystems.
Hands-on experience with data tracking and quality monitoring tools.
Knowledge of local languages or dialects in Karnataka markets.
Understanding of small business credit needs and cash flow cycles.

This role requires extensive travel across rural geographies in Karnataka as part of field execution and team oversight.
Candidates must be willing to relocate or base themselves in Bengaluru for the duration of the assignment.
