About the role

In the position of Senior Forward Deployed Engineer at Parloa, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of advanced AI technologies within intricate enterprise environments. What you'll do

Take charge of deployment engineering initiatives, overseeing the technical execution and product engineering aspects of Parloa's installations in complex enterprise settings.
Design deployment solutions that are robust and scalable, ensuring they meet the high standards required for performance, reliability, and security in enterprise environments.
Create custom integrations, extensions, and configurations to address product gaps and fulfill enterprise-specific requirements.
Collaborate across various systems and technology stacks, bridging backend engineering, DevOps, and data engineering to guarantee smooth delivery.
Work closely with customer engineering teams to navigate challenges and deliver tangible results.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers in the field, fostering their professional growth.
Engage with senior technical stakeholders and enterprise architects, discussing architectural solutions and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Quickly diagnose and resolve issues in high-stakes environments to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
Serve as a conduit between field operations and core engineering teams, translating deployment insights into product enhancements.
Collaborate with Deployment Strategists to create scalable architectures that deliver lasting value to customers.

Requirements

A minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, DevOps, or data engineering roles that have a direct impact on customers.
Demonstrated success in managing complex technical deployments and integrations within large enterprise environments.
Deep technical expertise in backend engineering, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, APIs, and databases, with a proven ability to engage hands-on in production systems.
Capability to work independently in high-pressure, ambiguous situations, particularly when deploying solutions to live enterprise systems.
A proactive builder's mindset, characterized by creativity under pressure and a commitment to delivering real-world solutions.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Proficiency in both French (native or near-native) and English (professional fluency) is essential.

Nice to have

Experience in developing or integrating AI/LLM-powered systems, such as embedding agent workflows or utilizing vector databases.
Familiarity with prompt orchestration and other advanced AI techniques.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role that involves technical support or deployment.

Skills & tools

Proficient in Typescript, NodeJS, OpenAI technologies, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, MongoDB, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and MCP.
