About the role
Pagaya is seeking a high-impact individual contributor to spearhead our expansion within the auto asset class. You will manage the full sales cycle and strategy to secure partnerships with OEMs, banks, and large auto dealer networks. In this capacity, you will act as the primary architect of growth initiatives, translating complex technological capabilities into compelling value propositions for the automotive sector. You will own the identification and penetration of new market segments, ensuring the company's AI-driven solutions capture meaningful market share. Success in this role requires the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy while driving measurable revenue results. You will serve as a critical link between Pagaya's innovation engine and the strategic priorities of large-scale automotive and financial partners.

What you'll do
- Lead the end-to-end sales process to bring our AI-driven financial solutions to auto dealers, banks, and OEMs.
- Develop and execute the growth strategy for the auto sector, identifying new market opportunities and defining go-to-market approaches.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with C-level executives across the automotive and financial services industries to build strategic partnerships.
- Manage complex deal origination, structuring, and closing from initial engagement to final contract execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Risk, Tech, Product, Legal, and Data to ensure successful partner onboarding and implementation.
- Analyze industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to inform product development and strategic positioning.
- Represent the company as a thought leader at industry conferences, events, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.
- Own the creation and delivery of tailored business cases and ROI models for prospective automotive clients, demonstrating clear value.
- Drive the qualification and progression of leads through a multi-stage pipeline to ensure a robust and healthy sales funnel.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the success of growth initiatives and sales campaigns against objectives.
- Translate technical product roadmaps into business-focused narratives that resonate with executive stakeholders and address strategic needs.
- Partner with marketing to develop targeted content that addresses the specific pain points of the auto finance ecosystem.
- Coordinate cross-functional implementation plans to guarantee seamless integration, adoption, and value realization by new partners.
- Provide feedback from the field regarding product enhancements, competitive differentiators, and market needs to guide future innovation.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or partnerships within relevant sectors.
- Deep, specialized knowledge of auto lending, auto finance, or auto-focused fintech landscapes and their specific nuances.
- Demonstrated success in selling to and establishing partnerships with OEMs, consumer banks, and large auto dealer groups.
- Existing network of industry contacts within the automotive finance space to accelerate deal flow and insights.
- Ability to operate as a self-sufficient individual contributor with high ownership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in explaining AI, machine learning, and data-driven models to non-technical business stakeholders effectively.
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder sales cycles that involve complex considerations from compliance, product, and legal departments.
- Strong negotiation and executive communication skills to navigate senior-level discussions and close strategic agreements.
