Otcflow is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lawyer specializing in Energy Law to join our dynamic team in Courbevoie, Île-de-France. What you'll do

• Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of issues related to energy law, including regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and memoranda, ensuring they align with industry standards and best practices.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support the company's strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and compliance, to identify legal risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and interpret changes in energy legislation and regulations, advising the company on necessary adjustments to policies and practices.
• Represent the company in negotiations with external parties, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver training sessions to internal teams on relevant legal topics, fostering a culture of compliance and awareness within the organization.
• Assist in the management of litigation and dispute resolution processes, working closely with external counsel when necessary.
• Support the development of internal policies and procedures related to energy law, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
• Participate in industry forums and conferences to stay abreast of emerging trends and legal developments in the energy sector.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the legal function within the organization, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to enhance the company's reputation and influence in the energy sector.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on energy law and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the energy sector, including renewable energy, electricity, and gas markets.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation and drafting, with a keen eye for detail and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide practical legal solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred, with proficiency in French being a plus.
