You will serve as a cross-functional operator who translates complex business needs into clear, actionable plans while safeguarding compliance and operational integrity.
What you'll do
Lead end-to-end management of cross-functional implementations and projects, including project plan creation, stakeholder engagement, risk identification, and on-time delivery.
Evaluate overall departmental performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data; assist in developing departmental metrics and implementing mitigation strategies to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders across Oscar to design proactive implementation and communications strategies that enable successful change management.
Mentor team members, promote colleagues' growth, and foster a culture of learning and accountability within the MPSO-Optimization team.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while managing projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Analyze complex business problems and translate them into structured project plans and process improvements that support member and provider experiences.
Gather and document detailed business requirements from multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress, manage timelines, and surface risks early to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Present findings, recommendations, and status updates to cross-functional leadership in a clear, concise, and data-driven manner.
Champion process standardization and continuous improvement across member and provider operations to enhance efficiency, consistency, and member trust.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3+ years of commensurate professional experience in operations, health insurance, data analysis, engineering, or consulting.
3+ years of work experience in operations, health insurance, data analysis, engineering, or consulting in a regulated or high-compliance environment.
2+ years of hands-on experience using data software tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or other data analytics platforms to derive insights and support decision-making.
2+ years of demonstrated experience managing end-to-end projects, including scoping, planning, execution, and closure.
2+ years of experience designing, improving, and operationalizing workflows, including the ability to stand up accompanying operating and technical procedures.
2+ years of experience applying process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Theory of Constraints to solve real-world problems.
A strong commitment to compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Oscar internal policies, with the ability to manage controls and documentation rigorously.
Ability to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office per week, including a required Thursday for team meetings, events, and collaborative work.
Nice to have
A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or other related fields that provide a structured approach to problem-solving.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher, demonstrating a foundational mastery of process improvement methods and change management.
Practical notes
This role is based in Tempe, Arizona, and follows a hybrid work model with three in-office days per week, including a required Thursday for team collaboration.
Compensation is transparent and ranges from $87,188.40 to $114,434.78 per year, and you will be eligible for employee benefits, Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.
