Ontinue is seeking a Senior Manager for the Cyber Security Advisory practice to lead engagements across North America. This senior-level position is responsible for overseeing advisory projects and guiding clients through complex and evolving security challenges. The Senior Manager works in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality consulting outcomes that make a measurable impact on client security postures. You will shape the strategic direction of advisory services, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the growth of Ontinue's client-facing practice. What you'll do
Lead cyber security advisory engagements for clients across North America on strategic security initiatives and long-term transformation programs that improve organizational resilience.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations throughout the full advisory lifecycle from initial scoping through final delivery.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify critical security gaps within client environments, networks, and operational processes.
Develop tailored security strategies and comprehensive roadmaps that address the unique needs, risk appetites, and compliance objectives of diverse organizations across sectors.
Collaborate closely with technical teams to translate complex security findings into clear, actionable recommendations for decision-makers.
Present detailed advisory results and insights to senior leadership and key stakeholder groups in a compelling and understandable manner.
Mentor and develop junior advisors and analysts on the team through hands-on guidance, constructive feedback, and professional growth plans.
Stay current with evolving threat landscapes, emerging vulnerabilities, and changing regulatory requirements across the cyber security industry.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships to support ongoing engagement, repeat business, and future advisory opportunities.
Contribute meaningfully to the growth and ongoing refinement of Ontinue's cyber security advisory practice and service offerings.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in cyber security advisory or consulting roles within a professional services environment.
Proven track record of managing client-facing security projects across North America with successful delivery and client satisfaction.
Strong understanding of established security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or equivalent standards and their practical application.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex security topics to varied audiences with clarity and confidence.
Ability to travel within North America as needed for in-person client meetings, workshops, and on-site engagements.
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience is required for this position.
Experience leading teams and managing multiple concurrent advisory engagements while maintaining high quality and timely delivery standards.
Deep knowledge of threat detection, incident response planning, and security architecture principles as applied in advisory contexts.
Nice to have
Prior experience with cloud security assessments and modern infrastructure environments is a strong plus for this role.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC-related credentials are highly valued by Ontinue's advisory team.
Background in regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare is considered beneficial and relevant.
Familiarity with security automation tools, SIEM platforms, and threat intelligence feeds is advantageous for daily work.
Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks supports success in this advisory and consulting capacity.

Proficiency in security frameworks including NIST CSF and ISO 27001 is essential for advisory engagements.
Experience with risk assessment methodologies and vulnerability management processes across enterprise environments.

Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in North America with regular travel expected to client sites.
The role reports to a director or VP within the Cyber Security Advisory practice at Ontinue.
