You will own the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical features within our R&D team, shaping how applications serve our customers at scale. What you'll do
Design and deliver code that meets specification requirements for mission-critical applications built and maintained by the R&D team.
Assume production ownership by responding to live incidents, performing root cause analysis, and participating in retrospectives to identify and implement process improvements.
Investigate alternative technologies, frameworks, and tools, and present structured findings for architectural review to support data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
Contribute across all development phases, from initial requirements gathering and system design to implementation, testing, and deployment for applications handled by the R&D team.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to craft efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Understand concepts of Restful services and application server and middleware technologies to build robust and interoperable backend systems.
Be comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments, utilizing command-line tools and scripts to manage development workflows and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Have experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies to model data, write optimized queries, and select appropriate storage solutions for different use cases.
Write and maintain high-quality code, tests, and documentation, ensuring that your contributions are reliable, secure, and easy for other engineers to understand and extend.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to refine requirements, clarify ambiguity, and ensure alignment on project goals.
Practice test-driven development and automated testing to validate functionality early, reduce regressions, and maintain high confidence in production releases.
Engage in code reviews to share knowledge, enforce quality standards, and provide constructive feedback that helps the entire team improve.
Optimize application performance and reliability by profiling systems, identifying bottlenecks, and applying proven techniques to enhance user experience.
Take part in on-call rotations, providing timely responses to production issues and working with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents efficiently.
Requirements
Hold a BE/BTech/MS degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related subject from an accredited institution.
Demonstrate hands-on experience building software applications using Java, Spring, and Hibernate to develop robust and scalable backend systems.
Show strong knowledge of core computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and commonly used design patterns.
Understand the principles of Restful services and how they interact with application server and middleware technologies in enterprise environments.
Be comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments, with a solid grasp of operating system fundamentals, file systems, and process management.
Have practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL technologies, including database design, querying, and optimization.
Possess the ability to write clean, maintainable code and to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Be prepared to work in an office-first model, with expected in-office days three days per week to facilitate collaboration and team cohesion.
