About the role

OneTrust is seeking a technical leader to join the Design Partner Program and influence the development of the AI-Ready Governance Platform. You will bridge the gap between strategic customer needs and platform-wide engineering, ensuring that custom solutions evolve into reusable, scalable product capabilities. In this capacity, you will act as a technical translator, turning complex business problems into coherent, long-term architectural visions. You will own the design and delivery of platform services that meet rigorous standards for security, reliability, and performance. Your work will directly shape the product direction for enterprise customers by converting bespoke requirements into generalized engineering patterns. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to validate strategies and drive execution against ambitious product roadmaps. This role demands a hands-on leader who is comfortable making high-impact technical decisions in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

What you'll do

• Architect and deliver scalable platform services, APIs, and integrations that meet high standards for security and reliability.
• Convert specific customer requirements into generalized product features and reusable engineering patterns.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and customers to refine roadmaps and validate technical strategies.
• Enforce high engineering standards through code reviews, design documentation, and mentorship.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into development workflows to boost productivity and code quality.
• Navigate complex technical tradeoffs between immediate customer urgency and long-term platform scalability.
• Implement robust data models and storage strategies using SQL and NoSQL technologies to support governance workflows.
• Design and operate event-driven architectures using Kafka to enable real-time data processing and system resilience.
• Optimize search and analytics capabilities using Elasticsearch to support compliance and risk operations.
• Containerize and orchestrate services on Kubernetes to ensure efficient deployment and management in cloud environments.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in enterprise SaaS, distributed systems, or cloud-native platforms.
• Proficiency in designing scalable APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and backend services.
• Expertise in modern stacks including Java, Spring, TypeScript, Python, REST APIs, SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Background in CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical direction across teams.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into technical architecture.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance principles relevant to enterprise software and data privacy.
