OneTrust is seeking a Solutions Engineer or Solutions Consultant to join their team in London, United Kingdom. This position serves as a critical link between the technical product and the customers who depend on it to manage governance, risk, and compliance obligations. The consultant will be responsible for demonstrating the OneTrust platform, understanding customer needs, and guiding organizations through the configuration and adoption process. Success in this role depends on a combination of technical aptitude, domain knowledge in compliance and risk management, and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at every level of the customer organization. What you'll do
Conduct live product demonstrations and technical presentations that clearly communicate the value of the OneTrust platform to prospective and existing customers.
Work closely with sales representatives and account managers to uncover customer pain points and identify the right OneTrust modules for their specific needs.
Configure the OneTrust application settings, workflows, and templates to match each customer's unique governance, risk, and compliance requirements and operational processes.
Deliver hands-on training sessions and workshops that help customer teams understand platform features, navigate the interface, and maximize their investment in the tool.
Gather detailed business and technical requirements from customers through structured interviews, discovery calls, and collaborative sessions with key stakeholders across the organization.
Support the full deployment lifecycle by troubleshooting configuration issues, reviewing integration setups, and guiding customers through each stage of the implementation journey.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with customer executives, technical leads, and end users to ensure ongoing satisfaction, adoption, and expansion of platform usage.
Produce clear and accurate technical documentation including solution designs, architecture diagrams, data flow maps, and step-by-step implementation guides for customer reference and handover.
Serve as the voice of the customer within internal teams by communicating feedback, feature requests, and product improvement ideas to engineering and product groups.
Keep current with OneTrust product releases, updates, and new modules so that recommendations and demonstrations always reflect the latest capabilities and improvements.
Participate actively in pre-sales activities such as proof-of-concept environments, evaluation periods, and competitive comparisons that help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
Identify opportunities to deepen platform adoption within existing accounts by introducing additional modules, advanced features, and expanded use cases that deliver further value.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a closely related technical field is a mandatory requirement for this position.
A minimum of several years of professional experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting, or a pre-sales role within a software company.
Demonstrable experience working with governance, risk, compliance, or privacy management platforms and a solid understanding of how these tools fit into enterprise operations.
In-depth knowledge of major data privacy regulations including the GDPR, CCPA, and other international frameworks that govern how organizations handle personal data.
Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities with the proven capacity to translate complex technical concepts into clear language for diverse audiences.
Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations, attend in-person meetings, and participate in industry events and conferences on a regular basis.
Proven track record of managing multiple customer engagements or projects concurrently while maintaining high standards of quality and responsiveness under pressure.
Strong collaborative mindset with the interpersonal skills needed to work effectively across sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams within a fast-paced organization.
Nice to have
Prior hands-on experience with the OneTrust platform specifically, or with a competing GRC solution such as ServiceNow, RSA Archer, or MetricStream.
Professional certifications in information security, data privacy, or project management such as CIPP, CISM, CISSP, or PMP that demonstrate specialized expertise.
Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS architectures and practical experience integrating third-party applications through APIs, webhooks, or native connectors within a multi-system environment.
A background in cybersecurity, IT audit, enterprise risk management, or a related discipline that provides additional context for compliance-focused customer engagements.
Skills & tools
OneTrust platform proficiency across its core modules including privacy management, GRC, third-party risk, and data mapping capabilities and configurations.
Experience with customer relationship management systems and sales enablement platforms used to track engagements, manage pipelines, and coordinate pre-sales activities effectively.
Working knowledge of global data privacy frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and other regulatory standards relevant to compliance and risk management.
Competence with presentation and collaboration tools including video conferencing applications, screen-sharing software, and digital whiteboarding platforms used during customer-facing sessions.
Ability to create professional technical documents such as solution architectures, process flowcharts, implementation plans, and executive summaries using standard documentation tools.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and software used to organize customer deliverables, track milestones, and maintain clear timelines across multiple engagements.

This role is based in London, United Kingdom, and requires regular on-site presence at the OneTrust office location in the city center.
The standard working schedule follows business hours from Monday through Friday, with some flexibility needed to accommodate customer meetings across different time zones.
