Key facts

What you'll do

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Conduct regular audits of financial documents and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing explanations for discrepancies.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT and corporate taxes.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and financial integrity.
• Provide support during external audits, preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, recommending adjustments to company policies as needed.
• Assist in the implementation of accounting software and systems to streamline financial processes and reporting.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a corporate environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations, particularly those relevant to the Saudi Arabian market.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
• Experience with financial modeling and analysis.
• Knowledge of financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
