About the role
The is the central architect responsible for conceiving, developing, and leading a unified global strategy that governs health, safety, environmental stewardship, and service quality across all operational regions. This leader is tasked with building and sustaining a proactive safety culture that protects both our internal Direct Technicians and the extensive network of external Field Service Partners. The role involves translating high-level corporate values into rigorous, actionable standards that ensure every technical repair is executed effectively on the first visit while maintaining an outstanding customer experience. You will own the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a scalable HSEQ framework designed to support current operations in the US and Australia while preparing the infrastructure for future expansion into Europe and other Americas regions. This position requires balancing the nuances of local regulatory requirements with the enforcement of a consistent, high-standard global HSEQ baseline to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. The manager will drive data-informed decisions, leveraging performance metrics to identify trends, drive corrective actions, and continuously refine processes. Collaboration with cross-functional leadership is essential to integrate HSEQ principles into product, engineering, and customer success initiatives from the outset. Ultimately, this role is pivotal in protecting people, the planet, and the brand by institutionalizing excellence in safety and quality as a core competitive advantage.

What you'll do
Lead the end-to-end development, implementation, and governance of a global HSEQ management system aligned with international standards and industry best practices.
Perform comprehensive analysis of incident data, operational workflows, and field feedback to identify root causes and architect preventative strategies that reduce risk and enhance reliability.
Champion the establishment of a proactive, learning-oriented safety culture that empowers every technician, partner, and stakeholder to identify hazards, report concerns, and continuously improve practices.
Design, deploy, and refine standardized operational procedures and technical protocols that ensure consistent, high-quality workmanship across all service engagements and partner networks.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to conduct rigorous hazard analyses, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, to inform design decisions and prevent safety or quality issues before deployment.
Develop and execute a strategic framework for managing quality service call outcomes, first-time fix rates, and customer satisfaction metrics specific to distributed energy assets.
Build and maintain a robust compliance program that proactively interprets and applies local, state, federal, and international regulations to ensure all field operations are legally sound.
Define and monitor a balanced set of leading and lagging KPIs, utilizing advanced data analysis to track performance, forecast trends, and drive targeted interventions where needed.
Serve as the central subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all HSEQ matters, representing Omnidian in communications with regulators, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Guide the creation of intuitive digital workflows and checklists that embed safety and quality controls directly into the daily routines of technicians and field partners.
Collaborate with Human Resources to integrate HSEQ requirements into talent lifecycle processes, including the onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of field staff.
Champion the adoption of sustainable practices and circular economy principles within operations to minimize environmental impact and support broader corporate responsibility goals.
Liaise with internal audit and legal teams to ensure that all HSEQ policies, documentation, and controls meet or exceed established standards and regulatory expectations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by fostering cross-functional workshops, conducting post-incident reviews, and implementing lessons learned to strengthen the system over time.
Requirements
Demonstrate a proven track record of developing and scaling HSEQ programs within complex, fast-growing service organizations operating in distributed field environments.
Possess a deep understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, quality management principles, and environmental compliance relevant to the solar and energy storage sectors.
Showcase strong analytical capabilities, utilizing data to interpret trends, assess risk, and make evidence-based decisions that enhance safety and service quality.
Bring extensive experience in creating and managing robust compliance frameworks, including the ability to interpret regulations and implement practical controls.
Exhibit exceptional leadership skills necessary for influencing and guiding a network of direct employees and external partners without direct hierarchical authority.
Have a background in leading remote or field-based workforces, with a strong commitment to ensuring consistent standards across diverse geographic locations.
Hold a recognized certification in safety, quality, or environmental management, such as Certified Safety Professional or similar credentials.
Communicate effectively with precision and professionalism, capable of drafting clear policies, procedures, and training materials for a global audience.
Nice to have
Experience in the renewable energy, technology, or SaaS sectors, with an understanding of the unique dynamics of distributed energy asset management.
Familiarity with B Corp certification processes and the principles of stakeholder governance.
Knowledge of field service management software, CMMS platforms, or digital workflow tools used to manage service operations and compliance.
Experience supporting international expansion efforts and navigating the complexities of multi-country regulatory landscapes.

This is a remote position based in the United States.
