In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the efforts to generate compelling evidence that highlights the clinical and economic advantages of Omada Health's innovative programs. Your collaboration with various cross-functional teams will be essential in transforming research insights into market-ready materials, ultimately enhancing the impact of our health solutions.

What you'll do
- Design and oversee clinical and health economics research initiatives, including trials, observational studies, and economic modeling, to effectively demonstrate the value of Omada's digital health offerings.
- Develop and analyze health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), focusing on cost-effectiveness and total cost of care assessments for diverse partners.
- Lead and mentor a team consisting of four PhD-level scientists and a project manager, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
- Manage relationships with external research vendors and partners, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards throughout the research process.
- Publish research outcomes in reputable peer-reviewed journals and contribute to thought leadership pieces that position Omada as a leader in the field.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Strategy and Commercial teams to formulate evidence-based value propositions that support sales and marketing strategies.
- Work alongside Clinical Innovation, Product, and Care Delivery teams to implement program experiments and drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Uphold scientific rigor and evidence-based methodologies in program design and experimentation.
- Establish and monitor key metrics that are impactful for business and clinically relevant for program pilots.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical outcomes and health economics, providing insights to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- An advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., or M.D.) in a relevant discipline such as health services research, psychology, or public health is essential.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical research is required, demonstrating a strong foundation in the field.
- Expertise in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) is crucial, particularly in healthcare claims analysis, cost modeling, and evaluations of total cost of care for Medicare Advantage and commercial employer populations.
- Familiarity with quality measurement frameworks, including HEDIS and Medicare Advantage Star Ratings, and their application in assessing program effectiveness is preferred.
- A proven track record of designing and executing research studies, including clinical trials, observational studies, economic evaluations, and research focused on patient-reported outcomes.
- Strong leadership qualities and team management skills are necessary, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
- A collaborative and adaptable mindset is essential, enabling you to build relationships across various functions and respond effectively to evolving business needs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills are required to convey complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
- A strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach is necessary, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should be prepared for rapid career growth, with the potential to assume VP-level responsibilities within a year.

- Experience with real-world evidence (RWE) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with principles of behavioral science as they relate to program design is a plus.

Practical notes
- Salary ranges for this position are structured as follows: Zone 1: $243,800 - $304,800; Zone 2: $233,200 - $291,500; Zone 3: $212,000 - $265,000. The final offer will be tailored based on the candidate's location, skills, experience, and internal equity considerations.
