Senior Director, Clinical Quality
About the role
This position will establish and lead a critical department focused on clinical quality. You will be responsible for the integrity, performance, and ongoing enhancement of Omada's clinical offerings. The scope includes program excellence, accreditation, patient safety, health equity, quality data analysis, and the foundational systems supporting our cardiometabolic, provider-integrated, and AI-driven care approaches.

What you'll do
- Oversee the Clinical Quality department, encompassing program quality, accreditation, safety, health equity, and clinical quality analytics.
- Manage the effectiveness of Omada's clinical quality systems and the quality performance of key programs, including their outcomes.
- Develop and execute the immediate plan for program quality, priorities for the Clinical Quality & Outcomes Committee (CQOC), accreditation readiness, quality data analysis, and AI bias monitoring.
- Translate strategic objectives and emerging needs into clear quality frameworks, defined responsibilities, monitoring standards, and improvement initiatives.
- Act as the senior leader accountable for the accuracy and effectiveness of Omada's clinical program model across all products and member experiences.
- Ensure programs are clinically sound, evidence-based, measurable, meet member and client expectations, and demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Build lasting quality infrastructure that moves beyond committees and reviews to support a growing range of clinical products and care experiences.
- Collaborate with leaders in Care Delivery, Product, Engineering, Commercial, Compliance, Legal/Regulatory, Data Analytics, and Applied AI to resolve cross-functional challenges and strengthen Omada's clinical quality operations.
- Contribute to the clinical quality aspects of Omada's co-intelligence engine, including the data infrastructure and knowledge bases required to understand member progress, readiness for behavior change, treatment adherence, biomarker trends, and indicators of suboptimal performance.
- Enhance proactive quality capabilities, such as predicting risk, personalizing interventions more effectively, conducting more precise experiments, and accelerating the adoption of successful approaches.
- Direct clinical quality oversight for AI-powered products, workflows, and decision-support tools, including monitoring for quality, bias, safety, transparency, and performance.
- Lead and mentor future clinical owners and subject matter experts for programs focused on cardiometabolic conditions, including obesity, weight management, GLP-1 therapies, diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol.
- Represent Omada's clinical quality strategy and standards to external parties, including clients, health plan and employer partners, accrediting bodies, and other key stakeholders, thereby enhancing market credibility, supporting sales discussions, and building external trust and growth.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with current clinical licensure.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience relevant to a Senior Director level.
- Extensive background in clinical quality, quality improvement, and program design within healthcare delivery, virtual care, or digital health settings.
- Proven ability to assess and enhance care models, member clinical care, provider and care team quality, clinical content, and safety considerations.
- Prior experience managing clinical quality, accreditation processes, and data analytics functions.
- Demonstrated success in developing systems, functions, or operational models involving multiple teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working across clinical operations, product development, data analytics, and emerging technologies, including AI-driven workflows or clinical decision support.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior leaders on matters of program integrity, risk, and strategic direction.
- Capacity to translate abstract, long-term strategies into concrete near-term objectives, governance structures, staffing plans, and operational routines.
- Comfort operating within a highly collaborative, matrixed environment and partnering with clinical, operational, product, legal, compliance, and technical teams.
- A leadership approach that combines clinical precision, systems thinking, sound judgment, and a focus on execution.
Nice to have
- Experience with NCQA population health program accreditation, ADCES, URAC, or similar quality accreditation work.
- Training or certification in Program Management, such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or IHI Quality Improvement.
- Experience defining data requirements, analyzing data, and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Background in the digital health industry, health plans, or employer benefits.
- Additional experience or interest in healthcare AI, clinical informatics, data science, or telemedicine.

Practical notes
- Salary ranges: Zone 1: $243,800 - $307,750; Zone 2: $233,200 - $291,500; Zone 3: $212,000 - $265,000. The specific offer will be within the applicable zone range based on candidate qualifications and business needs.
- Compensation includes competitive salary, annual cash bonus, equity grants, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
