You will translate complex EV concepts into straightforward narratives that resonate with a diverse range of drivers. Your daily work will involve building trust, managing expectations, and guiding prospects from their first inquiry to the moment they take delivery of their vehicle. You will be responsible for articulating the total cost of ownership, highlighting both the environmental impact and the personal financial benefits. What you'll do
- Generate high-quality leads and convert them into committed customers through proactive outreach and consultative discussions.
- Master the details of Octoenergy's salary sacrifice offering and explain the associated savings, benefits, and eligibility criteria to clients.
- Assess individual driving requirements and match them with the most suitable electric vehicle options available in the market.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive quotations that outline pricing, incentives, and the long-term value proposition of electric mobility.
- Coordinate closely with internal support teams to ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and processed within agreed timeframes.
- Utilize a consultative selling approach to identify customer concerns and address them with tailored solutions and factual information.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their experience is positive from the initial contact through to handover.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to refine sales pitches and stay ahead in the rapidly evolving EV landscape.
- Represent Octoenergy professionally in all customer interactions, upholding the brand's values of integrity, transparency, and excellence.
- Track sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and adapt strategies to achieve and exceed targets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to provide feedback from the field, helping to refine messaging and customer engagement tools.
- Support the development of sales materials and training resources to enhance the knowledge of the wider team.
- Ensure compliance with all financial services and regulatory requirements relevant to vehicle sales and salary sacrifice schemes.
- Act as a subject matter expert, answering detailed questions about vehicle specifications, charging infrastructure, and running costs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the sales process, identifying best practices that can be shared across the team.
Requirements
- Hold a full, valid driver's license for operating vehicles in Great Britain.
- Possess a deep understanding of vehicle dynamics, including how electric powertrains differ from traditional combustion engines.
- Have a proven track record in sales or customer-facing roles, ideally within a regulated financial or automotive sector.
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to providing exceptional customer service that builds loyalty and trust.
- Communicate effectively in professional English, both in written reports and verbal conversations with clients.
- Be comfortable working within a structured, process-driven environment that requires adherence to specific guidelines.
