What you'll do
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of systems engineering initiatives related to the Nuro Driver and Nuro Toolkit, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Act as a liaison among software, hardware, and safety teams to facilitate effective communication and guarantee that technical milestones are achieved.
- Proactively identify potential risks associated with the development and integration of autonomous driving software, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Develop and maintain processes for monitoring progress on licensing and vehicle autonomy projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Convert high-level strategic objectives into detailed, actionable technical plans for engineering teams, driving clarity and focus in execution.
- Collaborate with product management to prioritize features and enhancements based on market needs and technological advancements.
- Lead regular status meetings and updates to keep stakeholders informed about project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and implementing best practices in project management and systems engineering.
Requirements
- Significant experience in technical program management, particularly within the robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicle industries.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex engineering programs that are heavily software-oriented.
- Strong capability to engage and manage stakeholders from various technical backgrounds, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of systems engineering principles and familiarity with software development lifecycles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
