About the role
You will own the strategic positioning and market narrative for Numeral's tax and compliance products, ensuring they are clearly articulated for distinct segments. You will synthesize customer insights, competitive moves, and industry trends to shape product messaging and GTM priorities. You will collaborate closely with Product and Sales teams to build enablement materials that drive clarity and execution. You will own end-to-end product launches, including positioning, messaging, and commercial rollout. You will create high-quality assets such as solution briefs, sales decks, website copy, and case studies. You will define and refine segmentation and value propositions for personas like founders and finance teams. You will ensure market resonance by testing and iterating on positioning across all customer touchpoints. You will serve as the internal expert on Numeral's positioning and differentiators for the GTM motion.

What you'll do
Drive market and competitive intelligence by gathering customer insights, buyer behavior, competitive moves, and industry trends to inform product strategy, pricing/packaging, and GTM priorities.
Work closely with Product and Sales teams to help drive go-to-market strategy, positioning, and sales enablement; produce enablement collateral including fact sheets, sales slides, videos, discovery questions, talking points and emails.
Own product launches end-to-end, covering positioning, messaging, GTM strategy, and enablement to ensure coherent execution across channels.
Create high-quality product marketing assets, including messaging frameworks, solution briefs, sales decks, website copy, blog posts, case studies, webinars, launch materials, FAQs, competitive positioning, customer proof points, and customer success stories.
Ensure we're resonating in market by evaluating and establishing product descriptions, features, value propositions, and differentiators that resonate across different channels with our ICP.
Iterate on positioning across new markets and segments, including US, global, ecommerce, software, venture-backed SaaS, wholesale, CPG, manufacturing, and marketplaces.
Define and refine Numeral's segmentation, and core positioning across products such as filings, tax engine, and ECM, as well as across personas like founders, finance and tax teams, and partners.
Lead market intelligence efforts by conducting customer research, competitive analysis, segmentation, and trend monitoring to inform product positioning, roadmap influence, and GTM strategy.
Stay up to date on the external market and competitors by conducting, synthesizing, and producing research reports on competitive intelligence and creating or updating battlecards as necessary.
Develop and maintain a full suite of enablement assets, including battlecards, competitive objection guides, one-pagers, ROI calculators, and email sequences for each stage of the funnel.
Work with Go-To-Market teams to develop and implement programs that support lead generation, customer conversations, engagement, retention, and partner recruitment.
Develop a strong win/loss feedback loop by capturing insights and translating them into GTM and product decisions to improve execution over time.
Champion data-driven decision making by applying user analytics, segmentation, and campaign performance analysis to optimize messaging and content.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align messaging frameworks, product launches, and commercial initiatives around a unified value proposition.
Own the quality and consistency of Numeral's market-facing narratives, ensuring alignment between product capabilities and customer pain points.
Requirements
6+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, with strong content strategy and execution capabilities.
2+ years of experience in fintech, financial services, tax technology, accounting software, compliance technology, or developer tools - you are familiar with the sales cycle, buyer personas, and effective content strategies.
Data- and insights-driven mindset with experience in user analytics, segmentation, and campaign performance measurement.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex product concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
Strong judgment and strategic thinking, with a bias for action and comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Design, and Executive leadership.
Ownership mindset and high standards for quality, detail, and consistency in all marketing materials and programs.
Nice to have
Experience with tax technology, compliance, or accounting platforms.
Background in ecommerce, marketplace, or developer tooling sectors.
Familiarity with SEO content strategy and demand generation programs.
