What you'll do

• Design and develop system architectures that meet the requirements of various projects, ensuring they align with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate systems and ensure seamless functionality across platforms.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of systems to identify and resolve issues prior to deployment, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any problems that arise, implementing solutions to enhance system efficiency.
• Prepare detailed documentation for system designs, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients, assisting with system-related inquiries and issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements or upgrades to existing systems as necessary.
• Participate in project planning and management activities, contributing to timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
• Assist in the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for users to ensure they are proficient in utilizing the systems.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system capabilities.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to assess new technologies and tools that could benefit our systems and services.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices, safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining system integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in systems design and architecture, with experience in both hardware and software components.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and database management systems.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Certifications in relevant areas such as Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or similar credentials.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools to enhance system deployment and maintenance.
• Previous experience in a client-facing role, providing technical support and solutions.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance standards relevant to the industry.
