What you'll do

• Manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing to clients.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, utilizing effective communication strategies to resolve payment issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, ensuring that all financial data is up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and disputes related to billing and payments.
• Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts and develop strategies for collections.
• Process customer payments and apply them to the appropriate accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Conduct credit checks on new clients to assess risk and determine appropriate payment terms.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable and collections activities for management review.
• Participate in regular meetings with the finance team to discuss account statuses and collection strategies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster timely payments and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Implement and improve processes related to collections and accounts receivable to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes that may impact accounts receivable functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of collection laws and regulations is advantageous.
