About the role
Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM where you will define the blueprint for university talent pipelines in service of an audacious mission. You will architect and own the complete early talent strategy that turns campus ecosystems into a scalable competitive advantage for the business. This role demands a builder who operates at the intersection of brand, strategy, and execution to establish Nooks as a defining force in engineering education. You will translate the company vision into tangible experiences that resonate deeply with technical students and faculty. Your work will directly determine the quality and caliber of the next generation of engineers who build with Nooks.

What you'll do
Define and drive the end-to-end university recruiting strategy for Nooks, owning every variable from initial outreach to final offer acceptance.
Design a focused campus strategy that targets 4-6 elite engineering institutions, balancing reach and depth to maximize impact.
Cultivate authentic, long-term relationships with university career centers, influential professors, and student-led organizations to embed Nooks into campus culture.
Invent and lead employer branding initiatives through technical talks, hackathons, sponsorships, and social content that showcase the Nooks mission.
Architect the annual new graduate recruiting program, managing sourcing, interview scheduling, offer management, and the complete candidate experience.
Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership to codify hiring goals, interview processes, and evaluation standards that ensure consistent quality.
Build and scale internship and new graduate recruiting programs that can expand rapidly in step with company growth.
Champion the creation of exceptional candidate experiences that mirror Nooks' culture, values, and commitment to 10x outcomes.
Plan and execute high-impact campus visits, information sessions, technical events, and networking opportunities that leave a lasting impression.
Analyze recruiting metrics rigorously, identifying friction points and optimizing conversion rates across the entire university hiring funnel.
Oversee recruiting operations, including timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient and effective execution.
Partner with People Operations to design an onboarding and early career experience that reinforces the Nooks brand promise from day one.
Champion diversity of thought by engaging with a wide range of student communities and perspectives across target campuses.
Serve as the primary strategic partner for campus initiatives, ensuring all activities align with broader business objectives and growth milestones.
Continuously experiment with new engagement formats to keep the Nooks brand fresh, relevant, and top-of-mind for top students.
Requirements
Bring a minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience with demonstrable ownership of university or early career hiring at scale.
Show a proven track record of building or scaling campus recruiting programs within a high-growth technology company environment.
Present a history of successfully hiring top engineering talent from leading universities, with concrete examples of impact.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of engineering recruiting workflows and technical hiring practices in a fast-paced setting.
Have experience crafting employer branding initiatives that resonate authentically with technical students and faculty.
Exhibit exceptional relationship-building skills that enable trust with internal stakeholders and external university partners alike.
Master strong project management capabilities, managing multiple complex recruiting initiatives concurrently without drop in quality.
Apply an analytical mindset, using recruiting metrics and data to drive decisions and improve program outcomes over time.
Comfortably operate in ambiguity, building programs and processes from the ground up with limited precedent.
Possess a passionate commitment to helping exceptional early-career talent launch their careers with confidence and support.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship at this time.
Have the right to work in San Francisco without requiring company sponsorship of work authorization.
Be fluent in English, both written and verbal, to effectively represent Nooks in academic and professional settings.
Be currently located in or be able to relocate to the San Francisco area within a reasonable timeframe.
Nice to have
Experience working with AI, sales, or GTM-focused technologies in a previous role.
Background in computer science or a related technical field that enables meaningful conversations with engineering teams.
Practical notes
This role is based in San Francisco and requires in-office presence.
Candidates must be able to start within 30 days of receiving an offer.
