Software Engineer, New Grad
Job description
About the role
Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM. We design AI agents that operate across the full sales action set, from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. Building 0 to 1 has never been easier, but selling at the speed of the market remains the last frontier for AI. Our mission is to 10x every seller by automating the busywork so they can focus on what humans do best: closing deals. Today, over 1,500 customers run on Nooks, including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling. We've raised $70M+ from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins, which made its first sales-tech investment in over a decade with us. Since then, we have tripled ARR each year for 3 years running and grown a high-caliber team turning the art of sales into a scalable science. If you want to spend your early career solving hard technical problems, building products people genuinely love, and working alongside a team that moves quickly without sacrificing quality, we would love to meet you.
What you'll do
As a new graduate engineer, you will design, build, and ship full-stack features using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python. You will own projects from initial idea through deployment, monitoring, and iteration while working directly with customers to understand problems and turn feedback into product improvements. You will build systems that power AI agents, real-time collaboration, and enterprise-scale workflows, and you will improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our platform. You will write clean, maintainable code and contribute thoughtful code reviews, and you will learn from experienced engineers while taking on meaningful ownership from day one. You will ship production code from your first week and progressively take ownership of larger features while pairing closely with experienced engineers, learning our AI infrastructure, and working directly with customers. By the end of your first few months, you will have shipped multiple production changes and built features that directly move the business forward alongside some of the best engineers in sales AI.
Requirements
You are completing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. You have strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software design. You have built software through internships, research, open source, startups, or personal projects. You love solving difficult technical problems and learning new technologies. You are excited to work across the stack, and experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, or Python is a plus, but not required. You thrive in fast-moving environments where engineers take ownership and make product decisions. You enjoy collaborating with teammates and communicating technical ideas clearly. You can work from our San Francisco office at least three days each week.
Practical notes
Compensation for this role includes competitive base salary, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, hybrid work, and unlimited paid time off. Benefits may vary based on location and are subject to change. The base salary range for this role is $150,000-$165,000, in addition to equity and benefits. One thing I would strongly consider stealing from Ashby is adding a section called How We Work or Your First 90 Days. Ashby's engineering posts stand out because they help candidates picture themselves on the team instead of just listing responsibilities. For example, Your first few months at Nooks: You will ship your first production change during your first week. From there, you will progressively take ownership of larger features while pairing closely with experienced engineers, learning our AI infrastructure, and working directly with customers. By the end of your first few months, you will have shipped multiple production changes and built features that directly move the business forward alongside some of the best engineers in sales AI.
