We are looking for a dedicated Fulfilment Executive to join our team and take charge of managing and coordinating import shipments within India. This position is crucial for ensuring that our international inbound logistics are efficient and compliant, with a strong focus on tracking and resolving issues related to return shipments. What you'll do
- Supervise and monitor all incoming international shipments to India and various other regions, ensuring timely arrivals.
- Provide consistent updates regarding shipment statuses to relevant internal teams, keeping everyone informed.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to arrange pick-up, transportation, and delivery schedules effectively.
- Proactively identify and resolve any delays or operational challenges that may arise during the shipping process.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain all essential import documentation required for customs clearance.
- Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal compliance teams to facilitate smooth clearance processes.
- Address inquiries, inspections, and any discrepancies that may occur in relation to customs regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all customs and import regulations to avoid any legal complications.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams to manage duties, taxes, and necessary clearance documents.
- Partner with offices across APAC, EMEA, and the US to coordinate supplier shipments into India efficiently.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Operations, Customer Support, and Finance, to plan and resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain clear and effective communication between international suppliers and internal teams to ensure alignment.
- Monitor transit times, clearance processes, and delivery performance, particularly for return shipments.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in logistics processes to enhance efficiency and minimize delays.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in international logistics, import operations, or customs coordination is required.
- Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and the necessary import documentation is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to adhering to compliance processes are crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with teams across different functions and geographical regions, including APAC, EMEA, and the US.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for clear interactions with various stakeholders.
- A proactive and organized approach is vital, along with the ability to resolve operational issues independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly a working knowledge of MS Excel, is expected.
- Comfort with using operational or ERP platforms to manage logistics tasks is advantageous.
