- Architect and oversee build pipelines that rigorously connect treasury logic with Nium's payout networks, guaranteeing local settlement accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Champion structured review cycles that align product and compliance teams, validating controls for cross-border transactions to meet stringent regulatory standards.
- Orchestrate release rituals that coordinate deployments, ensuring wallets, cards, and accounts receive funds correctly without disruption or error.
- Forge and manage partner integrations by aligning with networks operating in real-time across 220 markets to maintain system interoperability and performance.
- Guard the quality of recurring collection flows to ensure wallet funding remains reliable, traceable, and secure at all operational times.
- Lead the card issuance business, an expansion active in 34 countries, by aligning complex product specifications with evolving local legal requirements.
- Own implementation quality by guiding rapid integration and onboarding for global customers to ensure a seamless experience regardless of geography or market maturity.
- Navigate the strategic evolution of the Direct Debit product as it transforms into a programmable payments infrastructure supporting recurring collections, wallet funding, third-party payment acceptance, and treasury operations.
- Evaluate lower-cost alternatives to traditional card payments, ensuring the product remains competitive and economically viable for enterprise clients.
- Ensure the product acts as a growth lever, balancing innovation with risk management to support Nium's global transaction network ambitions.
- Provide clear, actionable technical guidance to engineering and operations teams to translate complex financial concepts into executable product roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bring 3 to 5 years of experience managing complex payments products within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Demonstrate a deep familiarity with Direct Debit mechanisms, wallet funding processes, and treasury flow operations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Possess a thorough understanding of regulatory licenses and compliance frameworks, navigating requirements across more than 40 jurisdictions.
- Ensure onboarding processes remain compliant globally, adapting to varying legal landscapes without compromising speed or efficiency.
- Operate effectively across time zones, working smoothly between San Francisco and Singapore to support global operations.
- Master multiple payment rails, understanding the nuances of each to optimize product performance and reliability.
- Maintain strict adherence to financial services laws, particularly those governing money transmission and cross-border transactions.
- Uphold US money transmission licensing (MTLs) and related regulatory obligations in the Americas region.
