About the role
Nexthink is hiring an Enterprise Account Executive to join their team in Chicago. This full-time position focuses on selling Nexthink's digital employee experience platform to large enterprise customers. The role involves managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing deals with major accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with marketing and product teams to drive revenue growth in the North American market. You will be responsible for building a pipeline of qualified opportunities and converting them into long-term customer relationships. What you'll do
- Own the full sales cycle for enterprise accounts in the assigned territory
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through proactive outreach and networking
- Build relationships with C-level executives and IT decision-makers at target companies
- Present Nexthink's platform capabilities to prospects and address their technical concerns
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop account strategies and pipeline plans
- Track and manage deal progress using the company's CRM system
- Attend industry conferences and trade shows to generate leads and brand awareness
- Partner with marketing to create tailored messaging for enterprise prospects
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing to close deals within target margins
- Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports to leadership
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand rival offerings and position Nexthink effectively
- Follow up with existing clients to identify expansion and upsell opportunities
- Coordinate with solution engineers to deliver product demonstrations tailored to prospect needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and customer interactions
- Develop strategic account plans in collaboration with the sales operations team
- Identify and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across multiple departments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field required
- Minimum of five years of experience selling enterprise software or SaaS solutions
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in large organizations
- Strong understanding of network monitoring and IT operations management concepts
- Ability to travel up to 30 percent for client meetings and industry events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- Self-motivated with a competitive drive and a consultative sales approach
- Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with senior-level stakeholders
Nice to have
- Prior experience selling to large enterprise accounts in the technology sector
- Familiarity with digital employee experience or IT service management tools
- Existing relationships with CIOs, CTOs, or VPs of IT in target accounts
- Background in account management or customer success within enterprise software
- Certification in sales methodologies such as SPIN or Challenger Sale is a plus
- Prior experience in a consultative selling environment with complex technical products
Skills & tools
- Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform for pipeline management
- Experience with sales intelligence tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator or ZoomInfo
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to create and deliver polished presentations for technical and business audiences
- Familiarity with proposal and contract generation tools used in enterprise sales
- Comfort with data analysis to track performance metrics and forecast revenue
- Knowledge of procurement and legal review processes common in enterprise sales cycles
