About the role
Nexthink is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join their growing sales organization in Boston. This full-time position is central to expanding the company's customer base and driving revenue growth across the enterprise segment. The Commercial Account Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building trusted relationships with prospective clients, and guiding them through the evaluation and purchasing process. This role requires a self-starter who can manage a full sales cycle independently while collaborating closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver strong results.

What you'll do
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within assigned geographic territories and account lists.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at target organizations.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations that clearly communicate the value of Nexthink's platform to prospects.
- Develop detailed account plans with clear milestones, timelines, and revenue targets for each quarter.
- Work alongside marketing professionals to refine lead generation strategies and improve overall conversion rates.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from initial discovery calls through proposal delivery and contract signing.
- Perform thorough market and competitive research to understand customer pain points and industry trends.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to leadership, including pipeline status and deal probability.
- Partner with solution engineers and technical specialists to answer complex product questions during evaluations.
- Represent Nexthink at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to generate awareness and new leads.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records in the customer relationship management system for all accounts.
- Coordinate with customer success managers to ensure new clients receive a smooth and effective onboarding experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a closely related discipline required.
- Demonstrated history of successfully closing enterprise software deals in a quota-carrying sales position.
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in commercial account management or business development.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and enterprise software procurement and evaluation processes.
- Proven ability to independently manage a diverse pipeline of opportunities from early stage through closure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills suited for engaging with technical and executive audiences.
- Willingness to travel regularly to client offices and industry events as business needs require.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet aggressive sales targets consistently.

- Comfort using video conferencing and virtual meeting platforms to conduct remote product demonstrations for prospects.
- Awareness of competitive intelligence methods and market research approaches to stay informed on industry shifts.
