About the role
We are seeking a Senior Deal Desk Specialist to enhance our Global Sales Operations team. This position reports to the Head of Sales Operations and requires collaboration with various Sales functions globally, including Sales, Pre-Sales, Channel, and Managed Service Provider teams, along with Finance, Legal, and Security departments. In this role, you will provide business insights and coaching to improve the efficiency of our sales processes.
This position is based in our Boston, MA office, and candidates must be able to commute to this location. The role requires a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office each week.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the complete management of the Deal Desk, ensuring efficient and consistent operations throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Organize and manage the deal queue, facilitating deal reviews and ensuring timely decision-making to maintain Deal Desk productivity.
- Define, assess, and report on Deal Desk Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure accountability and consistent turnaround times.
- Analyze complex deals and provide strategic recommendations regarding pricing, positioning, and deal structures.
- Act as the main point of contact for the Sales team concerning deal-related inquiries.
- Review and authorize partner contract terms to align with company policies.
- Coordinate contract reviews and negotiate terms with Legal, Sales, and external stakeholders.
- Assist the Sales team in preparing responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Maintain effective communication channels and keep thorough records of approvals for any deviations from standard terms and conditions.
- Contribute to the development of pricing and packaging strategies and initiatives.
- Document policies and guidelines, and provide related training to the Sales team.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, including the design of new processes and enhancements to existing systems.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the SaaS B2B software industry is essential.
- Proven track record in supporting Deal Desk operations and managing complex deals.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong business acumen with a results-oriented mindset.
- A proactive approach to business support, demonstrating a willingness to exceed expectations.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on processes and systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
- Understanding of data management and the importance of maintaining data integrity.
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
