About the role
Nexthink is seeking a Content and Learning Experience Manager to join their growing team in Boston. This role is responsible for designing and delivering learning experiences that support employee development and organizational goals across all departments. The manager will lead content strategy across multiple formats and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful educational programs. The position plays a central part in shaping how knowledge is shared and absorbed throughout the organization, ensuring that every team member has access to the resources they need to succeed.

What you'll do
- Design and develop comprehensive learning programs that align with company objectives and support employee growth needs across all departments.
- Create engaging content across multiple formats including written guides, video tutorials, interactive modules, and live workshop materials.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts throughout the organization to gather insights and translate complex technical knowledge into accessible learning materials.
- Manage the full content lifecycle from initial ideation through development, publication, and ongoing maintenance and updates.
- Analyze learner feedback and performance data on a regular basis to refine and continuously improve educational offerings.
- Coordinate closely with the learning and development team to ensure all content meets established quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Develop thorough onboarding materials and resources that help new hires integrate smoothly into the company culture and workflows.
- Lead interactive workshops and training sessions to support team-wide skill building initiatives and professional development goals.
- Maintain a centralized content repository and ensure all learning materials are properly organized, tagged, and easily accessible to all users.
- Partner with department managers to identify critical skill gaps and recommend targeted learning interventions that address specific team needs.
- Stay current with industry trends in learning and development to incorporate best practices into the organization's content strategy.
- Work with the communications team to ensure all internal learning content is aligned with broader company messaging and values.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, communications, or a closely related academic field is required.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in content creation, learning experience design, or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven experience presenting complex ideas to diverse and varied audiences.
- Solid familiarity with learning management systems and various content authoring tools used in enterprise environments.
- Prior experience working in a technology or software company is strongly preferred and considered an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience facilitating training sessions or workshops for groups of varying sizes and technical backgrounds.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a closely related academic discipline is a plus.
- Experience with video production or multimedia content creation for digital learning platforms and internal communications.
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM is valued.
- Background in user experience design or human-centered design approaches to learning and development is beneficial.
- Familiarity with data analytics and learning metrics to measure the impact of educational programs.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in learning management systems such as Moodle, Cornerstone, or similar enterprise-level platforms is essential.
- Experience with content authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Lectora for interactive course creation.
- Familiarity with video editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia, or similar tools for producing learning media.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace for daily collaboration and document management.
- Ability to use analytics platforms and dashboards to measure content effectiveness and track learner engagement metrics.
- Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for creating visual learning assets.
- Understanding of HTML basics and learning experience platforms to support digital content delivery and management.
Practical notes
- This role is based in the Boston office and requires on-site presence during regular business hours each week.
- The Content and Learning Experience Manager reports directly to the head of learning and development at Nexthink.
- The position involves regular collaboration with teams across product, engineering, sales, and customer success departments.
- Candidates should expect to participate in periodic performance reviews and contribute to annual planning and goal-setting cycles.
- The manager will work closely with external vendors and training partners when needed to supplement internal capabilities.
