Key facts
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and implement automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance across various platforms and devices.
- Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans that align with project goals.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting of issues.
- Execute automated test cases and analyze results to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of new features and enhancements.
- Conduct performance and load testing to assess system behavior under various conditions and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in test automation and software quality assurance, applying this knowledge to improve testing strategies.
- Mentor junior team members in automation testing practices and tools, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automated testing into the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to test automation processes, frameworks, and tools for future reference.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of new testing tools and technologies that can enhance the testing process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, with hands-on experience in writing automated test scripts.
- Familiarity with automation testing frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI is a plus.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and services.
- Experience in healthcare technology or related industries is advantageous.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
- Understanding of security testing principles and practices.
