About the role
This role is an execution-focused position designed to support HR Business Partners across a global workforce from a centralized location. You will act as a critical connector, translating high-level HR strategy into tangible actions and ensuring people issues are resolved efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives when managing intricate details while maintaining a clear view of the broader organizational goals. You will leverage technology, particularly AI tools, to enhance your productivity and the quality of your service delivery. This position is structured as a six-month contract based in our Chennai office, with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. You will own a diverse portfolio of day-to-day HR activities, allowing HRBPs to dedicate their energy to strategic initiatives that drive business growth.

What you'll do
Coordinate day-to-day HR needs for global teams, preparing materials for business reviews and managing routine employee touchpoints so HRBPs can focus on strategic work.
Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers across multiple regions, navigating complex policy questions and coaching conversations with professionalism and care.
Execute end-to-end responsibilities for HR programs and initiatives, including performance cycles, compensation planning, onboarding, offboarding, and policy implementation.
Utilize AI tools to draft communications, analyze people data, and surface actionable insights that enable HRBPs to make faster, more informed decisions.
Track open items and commitments meticulously, maintaining HRIS data with a high standard of accuracy to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Partner with HR colleagues across different geographies, coordinating across time zones and adapting to regional nuances to deliver consistent HR experiences.
Own the full lifecycle of employee-related processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.
Manage sensitive employee relations cases with discretion, applying sound judgment and escalating appropriately when necessary.
Support the implementation of change management initiatives, helping teams navigate transitions smoothly within a global context.
Act as a subject matter expert on HR policies and procedures, providing clear guidance and interpretation to internal stakeholders.
Monitor key HR metrics and prepare reports to support data-driven decision-making for leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure HR strategies align with business objectives and operational needs.
Maintain current knowledge of employment laws and best practices relevant to the regions served.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems to enhance the employee experience.
Requirements
Bring 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, ideally gained in a fast-paced, global environment where adaptability is essential.
Demonstrate strong communication skills with the confidence and polish required to interact directly with employees, managers, and senior leaders at all levels.
Show a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, closing loops, following up on commitments, and being known for getting things done reliably.
Have established real habits around using AI tools in your day-to-day work, going beyond awareness to actively leveraging them to work smarter and more efficiently.
Possess a solid working knowledge of core HR fundamentals, including employee relations, performance management, employment law basics, and HRIS systems.
Exhibit a collaborative instinct, supporting colleagues proactively without waiting to be asked and making the people around you more effective through your actions.
Exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive information, knowing when to escalate issues appropriately to protect the company and its people.
Thrive in a hybrid work model, comfortable splitting time between remote and office environments in our Chennai location.
Be available to work during standard business hours, requiring flexibility to coordinate across different time zones.
