What you'll do
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of 6 to 8 Account Executives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance sales environment.
- Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions through team meetings and one-on-one reviews to develop individual skills and improve overall team performance.
- Monitor sales activities, including phone interactions and outreach efforts, to ensure high-quality engagement and identify areas for process improvement.
- Analyze sales pipeline data and performance metrics to develop strategies that optimize sales effectiveness and achieve revenue goals.
- Use data-driven insights to adapt sales strategies in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the team remains aligned with company objectives.
- Encourage a culture of innovation by motivating team members to contribute new ideas, solutions, and creative approaches to sales challenges.
- Maintain a positive leadership presence during periods of change, providing steady guidance and support to your team.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer support teams to align goals, resolve issues, and ensure seamless execution of sales plans.
- Play an active role in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding top sales talent to strengthen the team.
- Participate in strategic projects beyond core sales responsibilities, contributing to broader business initiatives and growth plans.
- Track and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to inform decision-making.
- Develop and implement sales training programs and resources to enhance team capabilities and product knowledge.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes professional development and employee engagement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to keep the sales team ahead of market changes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team of at least 4 Account Executives or similar sales professionals.
- Proven success in a quota-carrying sales role, demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed sales targets consistently.
- Strong coaching and leadership skills, with the ability to develop team members with varying experience levels and learning styles.
- Experience in a transactional sales environment with high outbound activity and a focus on high-volume outreach.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and implement data-driven strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly conveying expectations, providing feedback, and motivating the team.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, building strong relationships with marketing, product, and support teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with adaptability to changing priorities and a dynamic sales environment.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, with Salesforce experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for sales and supporting small business growth.
