As a Small Business, you will play a pivotal role in supporting entrepreneurs on their financial journeys. Your primary responsibility will be to assist small business owners in navigating their funding options by connecting them with appropriate lending partners. This position is essential for enabling businesses to secure the necessary capital for growth and success.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the entire sales process, from the initial outreach to successfully closing deals with clients.
- Quickly familiarize yourself with the NerdWallet Small Business sales methodology, product offerings, and qualification standards.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of NerdWallet Small Business products to effectively advise business owners on various loan options available to them.
- Work collaboratively with lenders within the NerdWallet Small Business network to pinpoint opportunities and facilitate meaningful connections.
- Consistently achieve or surpass monthly sales objectives, demonstrating a strong commitment to performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with small business owners, ensuring their needs are met throughout the sales process.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, manage your pipeline, and report on progress towards goals.
- Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance your sales skills and product knowledge.
- Provide feedback to the product team based on client interactions to help improve offerings and services.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and motivating sales environment.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to effectively position NerdWallet's offerings.
- Actively seek out new business opportunities through networking and referrals.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in a financial services or related field.
- Proven track record of managing a sales pipeline and achieving key performance metrics.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse business owners.
- Strong multitasking abilities, with a knack for prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Comfortable and resilient in high-pressure situations, especially when dealing with challenging conversations or complex inquiries.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced inside sales environment, adapting quickly to new challenges.

Practical notes
- This position is primarily office-based. However, after completing the training period (typically lasting between 4 to 6 months), you may be eligible to work remotely for up to 20% of the month, provided you meet performance standards.
