Founding Growth Marketer
Job description
About the role
You design and run growth programs that turn customer behavior into durable acquisition and retention for Neptune. You translate insights about how couples think and build trust into concrete experiments, measure outcomes, and iterate based on evidence. You work closely with creators, partners, and community builders to expand Neptune's reach while keeping messaging clear and grounded in data. You act as the behavioral translator between Neptune's product and the nuanced realities of how couples plan their financial future together. Your work will define how Neptune shows up in the moments when couples are most vulnerable and most open to change. You will be expected to move with ownership, clarity, and a bias toward action in a fast evolving early stage environment.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design end to end programs that encourage Neptune customers to refer friends and family, defining incentives, messaging, and experience steps that align with how couples think about money and planning a life together.
- Build and deepen relationships with creators, experts, communities, and partner organizations so Neptune can introduce the product to new customers through authentic, context rich collaborations.
- Conceptualize and test events, workshops, local partnerships, and community activations that resonate with target users, then refine formats based on observed behavior and qualitative feedback.
- Support social and paid marketing by generating ideas, creative concepts, and insights that reflect how couples engage with Neptune, ensuring content and channels align with acquisition and retention goals.
- Establish clear goals for each growth program, track results with appropriate metrics, and use learnings to improve performance and efficiency over time.
- Conduct risk assessments for growth experiments and compliance, documenting assumptions, outcomes, and mitigation steps so programs can scale responsibly.
- Own the end to end execution of referral and community programs, coordinating stakeholders to move ideas from concept to launch and ensuring each program has a measurable hypothesis.
- Apply measurement and AI tools for research, writing, creative exploration, and analysis, using data to prioritize opportunities and validate program impact.
- Translate complex financial planning concepts into simple, relatable narratives that speak directly to the shared mindset of couples building a life together.
- Identify and prioritize the highest leverage experiments across channels, focusing effort on initiatives that compound over time rather than one off wins.
- Partner with product and design to surface insights from growth experiments that inform roadmap priorities and user experience decisions.
- Map and document customer journeys to uncover friction points and opportunities that align with how couples research, compare, and commit to financial tools.
- Create and maintain a lightweight but rigorous experimentation roadmap that balances rapid testing with responsible risk management.
- Mentor collaborators across design, product, and community on growth best practices, elevating the standard of work through clear frameworks and constructive feedback.
- Synthesize qualitative feedback and quantitative results into actionable recommendations that guide both strategic and tactical decisions for Neptune's growth.
Requirements
- Bring 5+ years of experience in consumer growth, community, partnerships, brand, content, or a related role that demonstrates ability to ship programs end to end.
- Show a track record of taking a program from idea to launch, including setting goals, defining success metrics, and iterating based on evidence.
- Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills with customers, creators, partners, and community leaders, especially in trust-based consumer categories.
- Work closely to the customer, understanding how couples think, what they need, and what drives trust in financial planning tools.
- Communicate clearly in writing, recognizing a strong story and translating it into simple, actionable messages for different audiences.
- Grow into a leadership role in growth by mentoring collaborators, setting standards, and elevating the quality of programs.
- Use numbers comfortably, setting goals, evaluating results, and making practical decisions with incomplete information.
- Move quickly with limited resources, showing resourcefulness without a large team or a detailed playbook.
- Use AI tools responsibly for research, writing, creative work, and analysis while maintaining rigor in evaluation.

- Be willing to contribute to a collaborative, high trust culture that values clarity, accountability, and evidence based decision making.
