About the role
In this position, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of training programs tailored for the Oncology division. Your efforts will be essential in equipping a diverse team of nearly 500 professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge through comprehensive onboarding, product introductions, and continuous education initiatives. Collaboration with various departments will be key to ensuring that the training content is relevant and effective.

What you'll do
- Spearhead the onboarding process for new employees, working closely with Human Resources and Area Sales Trainers to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
- Develop and deliver a range of training programs that encompass ongoing education for all members of the Oncology business unit.
- Collaborate with marketing, medical, and operations teams to curate training materials for global meetings, business unit gatherings, and strategic planning sessions.
- Facilitate clinical and product training sessions using various formats, including in-person, hybrid, and virtual platforms such as Zoom.
- Engage in field visits alongside sales representatives to assess their training needs and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated on Natera's sales methodologies and the competitive landscape within the market.
- Create instructional materials utilizing tools like Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Articulate, including voice-recorded content for the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the Oncology team.
- Support the integration of new technologies and methodologies into training practices to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements to ensure training content remains current and relevant.
- Collaborate with other training managers to share best practices and improve training strategies across the organization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in the Laboratory Diagnostics sector, including roles in diagnostic sales, sales management, or medical affairs.
- In-depth knowledge of sales methodologies and principles of adult learning.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Google Suite.
- Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time for field visits and training sessions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
Nice to have
- A Master's degree in medical or biological sciences would be advantageous.
- Experience in a customer-facing role or field sales position is a plus.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their application in training environments.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledgeable in Google Suite and Google Meets
- Experienced with Articulate for e-learning content development
- Familiar with Showpad for sales enablement
- Competent in using photo editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Paint, and Windows Snipping Tool
- Understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) for training delivery
